The western medias normally would not make good comments on China and that is the norm of practice. Still I do think the Uighurs do have their own grievances in their homeland. Their standard of living in south Chinese Turkistan is quite low for the farmers there. The wealth generated in north C.Turkistan do not flow to the normal Uighurs normally to the Hans and Hans own or govt. own chinese corporations. The French resisted, the British resisted, the Russians resisted, the Chinese resisted. Out of all of these combatants, only the Russians really turned the tides of the war to their favor. In my opinion, the Russians won the war (European Theater) and the American cavalry rode in when it was most advantageous.
I doubt the Uighurs want a fundamentalist state given that they lived in an atheist state for so long.

The western medias normally would not make good comments on China and that is the norm of practice. Still I do think the Uighurs do have their own grievances in their homeland. Their standard of living in south Chinese Turkistan is quite low for the farmers there. The wealth generated in north C.Turkistan do not flow to the normal Uighurs normally to the Hans and Hans own or govt. own chinese corporations. The Chinese govt. has a lot to do to rectify the situation for equality on all citizens.

In France it seems Muslim girls should not wear veils going to schools; in America Disneyland a Muslim lady staff is not allowed to wear headset without putting on an extra hat etc.

Uighurs are citizens of PRC, Uighurs of course are not equal to Hans. Some Uighur children were kidnapped or sold to be trained as pick-pockets in other Chinese cities by Uighur gangsters. One reason for that is Uighurs are poor another there is a Chinese policy that minority ethnics are not punished severely in criminal cases compared to Hans as a previlege.

Chinese had ruled Chinese Turkistan area 2000 years ago during Han dynasty after driving away the Huns. Articles of Han dynasty are evidenced to be excavated in the area. Han Chinese presence in the area is not unusual in the past.
Han identity is more of a cultural identity than ethnic identity besides Chinese in a broad sense consists of a lot of different ethnicities.

It is a waste of resources to support it. That being said, not many nations officially recognize Taiwan, yet we all know it is de facto independent. The US sells weapons to them. We have diplomats there. That isn't lawful, right?

Nobody cares about justification arguments anymore. Politics is zero sum. I lived in America all my life, and to this day ethnic harmony is elusive. Even when Americans, white Americans, I believe put forth a truly wholehearted effort towards engendering that elusive racial peace. It would especially be difficult to create peace with a religion as Islam, in which moderation does not exist. Perhaps if Uyghers intermarried with the Hui Chinese Muslims, things might be better.

American forces persuaded the Japs to surrender. You Chinese try to take credit for making the Chinese surrender, but it is a joke. The Japs formally surrendered on an American battleship, not a Chinese one.

Listen, I'm not saying the Chinese didn't resist. But let's face it, mere resistance doesn't stop the enemies from exerting their will. The French resisted, the British resisted, the Russians resisted, the Chinese resisted. Out of all of these combatants, only the Russians really turned the tides of the war to their favor. In my opinion, the Russians won the war (European Theater) and the American cavalry rode in when it was most advantageous.
