  • I prefer this Helen over the one in Troy. I know most people prefer that Helen, but I found her too boring and her beauty was typical, not unique at all.

  • Women back then were incapable of running it appears (evidenced by Helen collapsing after running a few meters)

  • I'd be so scared to be a woman back then.

    Everything's so scary

  • Anachronism spotted!:

    Manchurians @ 8:59

  • @PaxAmericana24 Well, somebody had to wash all those togas.....

  • Some of the acting in this is appalling x

  • i dont think helenis all that pretty here. shes pretty but not as pretty as helen should be

  • @queserasera313 I said the same thing. She is average looking. The one in Troy was very pretty.

  • @queserasera313 I think everyone thinks she's pretty cuz she's different, not so boring as all other Greek women were in here day.

  • all i have to say is "SIENNA IS FREAKING HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!"

  • It's so ridiculous to watch our mythology being hacked like this!Get your own people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they are all Greek, but all of them have British accent, ROFL

  • @wildwolves8 Lol I think it's better than them having American accents. ._.

  • What the...the dialogue is so hilarious.

  • helen reminds me of that girl that plays on alice in wonderland:0

  • *thinking*"NO!" *runs*"Helen no their are wolves!"*boy,do you think i gonna come back to you so you can rape me*

  • More real than "Troy"? In what sense? The movie Troy has a more accurate depiction of the strength and site of the historical civilization of Troy or Wilusa. And of the Greek Cities. Mythology is fantasy, there is no reality in it.

  • @boromirofgondor111 Depending on which comment you were referring to, it was clarified it was truer to the myth (the Iliad) than "Troy", as opposed to being a more realistic accounting of historical facts. Personally I think it was too close to call - Troy included a few things "Helen of Troy" overlooked (the quarrel over Briseis and Ajax's involvement to name a few) but also took a few liberties (Menelaus's death, Paris surviving).

  • yall talkin bout mythology n im liike rapppeeee heerrrrrr

  • KING OF ATHENS PLAYED KING OF THE SAXONS IN KING ARTHUR D:

  • polux and paris! *faints*

  • i love their teeth. back before tooth brushes, everyone has very white and very straight teeth =)

  • 9:00 ASIANS(-_-)

  • HA one of helens sisters (that she wasnt raised with), half sisters, is Hermione, i wonder if harry potter did that on perpose. they used alot of greek mythology in harry potter so why not hermione. Zeus is the man of knowledge and wisdom.

  • @Acsmitte5 I think Hermione was Helen's daughter with Menaleus

  • troy didnt go into so much details like helen of troy.

  • @TheRock2004 haha im a guy lol. But i like films tt display true love. Kinda got pissed off watching Troy w all the stupid war n sex scenes!

  • i saw that movie yesterday....i love it!

  • Poor Helen...she's totally victimised in this tale. No room for her choices, her individuality, her spirit...it's brutal :(

  • wait athens was a democracy it was a republic its leader's were elected

  • @lewisgunner1 Actually, this whole thing's supposed to take place in the Mycenean period, which was a bit more crude in terms of structure as opposed to Classical Greece.

  • @lewisgunner1 Not at that point this happened hundreds of years beafor they did that

  • "She's sweet on pomegranates, I heard."

    "I hate pomegranates."

    ...Heh.

  • so she's beautiful because most greeks are tanned and have dark hair. helen on the other hand is pale with lighter hair. quite exotic

  • that is because they are latins latins are found commonly in southern europe and north central and south american they need to have well not white but like kinda tan skin with dark hair i am a descented of troy well not sure but there is a very very very very good chance i am

  • @lewisgunner1 south americans are tan because they have native indian / tribal blood. latin means you come from a background that speaks languages that come from latin, like french spanish italian. and actually english and german do also. and greeks are considered white some are tan and darker features and others have light features but its usually just the sun that tans them. its just like there are light skinend black people and so on but still considered black. its not the skin its the look.

  • @lewisgunner1 in the american definition of white it says anyone in europe the middleast and north africa is of the caucanoid race.

  • So they're just going to leave out that Leda was ravished by Zeus in the guise of a swan? That Helen was hatched from an egg, as was Clytemnestra, along with their brothers? Dang it, that's lame.

  • @Jacobitess woops, shouldn't have commented before finishing the clip, it's only half-lame :)

  • Does Paris really have a sombrero hanging on his back?

  • I like "Troy"....but this one is more romantic ♥ ♥ ♥

  • Persephone is married! They creep me out. You don't look like a king! Cabbage leaf! Cabbage patch baby! Theseus is pretty nice. But weird-ish. I like saying ish! so sue me. Wait what raped! Are you a woman? No, no! HAHA she's funny. The Bull, is like his pet. I don't like that guard. Poor Helen, the product of a rape. But at least she was useful. Wolves. In daylight.

  • The problem with these tv movies is they don't have enough time to get us emotionally attached to what's happening, so we see someone crying and we're like "who cares"

  • gain a bit of weight and you might be closer to being the ship that launched a thousand faces

  • This is pathetic. Lame and poor.

  • I know a girl just as beautiful as Helen... She broke my heart :(

  • @GuitarHai you people are so funny

  • Sienna Guillory is the ONE and ONLY Helen of Troy and Jill Valentine ! ! !

  • @Galijabre4Sienna

    agree with you

  • i dont like theseus in this movie. he is characterized as valuing justice in mythology

  • @Liliannaanna Well, it is true that he stole Helen and then Paris stole her.

  • nahh troy is way better than this crap

  • like this movie more than TROY cuz it focus on love rather than war

  • @kwanzdenie spoken like a true woman. love love love.

  • I was enjoying this movie until I saw the "Chinese" at Troy... Troy was like what...before the Romans? It's questionable if China was united back then. The "Chinese" in the movie had Manchurian hairstyle and garments, which were imposed upon the Chinese by Manchurian nomads who conquered China in 1644...But I guess unless you are a history buff or an actual Chinese person it wouldn't really matter...

  • @OWLofATHENS LOL Yes, they were wearing Manchu costumes! I believe the story of Troy was actually "pre-history" or just Greek mythology. The Trojan War presumably took place many centuries B.C. Chinese civilation might have started, but I don't think you would find Chinese "traders" in Asia Minor at that time.

  • the story popped up after its happening but some historicly based aspects of the poem at length suggest it happened about 1,000 B.C, China at the time was in the middle of the shang dynasty which ddi see some maritime exploration. Therefore it is actually possible that these folks got there, they also could have come through the silk road which did eventually lead around that area.

  • Why did this guy take Helen but had no sexual interest in her? What was his motive? Was he gay or something?

  • @Acme633 Well, she was supposed to be still young. But you couldn't tell by the actress. He wanted to marry her when she was older. He would have interest in here then.

  • @Acme633 In mythology, he and Pirithous (the guy that left him, Theseus, with Helen) wanted to marry the daughters of Zeus. Theseus got Helen and Pirithous went for Persephone (unsuccessfully). At this point, Helen was still considered too young to marry, which could be why he's holding back; he doesn't want to sleep with a child.

  • Stellan Skarsgård did a good job as Cerdik in "King Arthur"

  • loveutube6...i think he sais it beacuse she should be only 7-10 years old when she is kidnapped by Theseus...or some authors say that she was about 14 as they think that Ifigenia was her and Theseus child..-

  • She was not a blonde.

  • i know this is a stupid question..when she goes on about being a child n not a woman i mena what is she on about? She looks like a woman to me..

  • They should have picked a much better looking girl, I mean she is pretty but not to launch a massive war like that

  • Did I not see some Chinese in Troy?

  • @Acme633 Well Troy was the center of trade in that part of the world, which was what made it so valuable to Agamemnon later. It would make sense if there were Chinese people there if they were merchants or something...

  • she doesn't look like the face that launched a thousand ships.

  • lolz ur nice. but i kinda hav to agree.

  • she's pretty but not like amazing ^.^ u know what i mean

  • umhm. :)

  • @mendontgetit323 That culture's version of beauty then was a lot different than it is today. The ideas of what makes someone beautiful changes from one culture to another and also through time.

  • true but this is a modern ish movie

  • Hellen is an allegory personifying Greece (Hellas) and the tribute the Mycenai had to pay the Trojans. So it is the Elegance and Essence of Greece which is being stolen by the Trojan Princes which must be avenged.

  • well thats no fun ^.^

  • theseus was a dick, he left ariadne on an island after she helped him kill the minotaur

  • Thanks my friend

    good working

    5 stars

  • Sienna Guillory aka Helen is also Arya in the movie Eragon, right ? out of the topic, i think that it's a really good movie!

  • good movie but its nothing like the book

  • ok who is Leda anyway and ty for uploading

  • leda is the mother of helen...

leda is the wife of king tyndareus...

  • ooo ok

  • Good movie 5/5*****

  • helens mother is leda

  • HELENS MOTHER IS LEDA

    (O) (O) {}

  • HELEN'S MOTHER IS LEDA. :)

  • Comment removed

  • this is more real than 'Troy' because it's true to the myth. 'Zeus' means knowledge/wisdom .. she was beautiful because she was the daughter of wisdom. It's about mythology not a human story.

  • @Fraterculae

Very true. This one is closer to the myth than "Troy" but "Troy" is actually a lot more accurate when it comes to the outfits and armour used by both sides.

  • who is helen's mother?

  • LEDA or nemesis

  • tnx

  • anytime girl...or guy...:)

  • wait, you're saying nemesis, goddess of revenge, is helen's mother?

  • in the later version of the stories, they say, yes it was nemesis ravished by zeus in a form of a swan. but she didnt like the idea and left her egg(which bore helen) and leda just found it and raised the child. in the earlier version, it was leda ravished by zeus making helen a human goddess.

  • shes not really fine kinda ugly to me

  • she sounds australian

  • is helen supposed to be a blonde?

the other version of troy's helen's also blonde.

    haha

  • that was wierd lol

  • She's frequently described as golden or fair haired. The epic heroes and gods are often portrayed as having red-gold hair. I suppose it's tradition.

  • actually, she isn't blonde...if u look at it properly, she has golden red hair.

  • @preciousangel18 Where did you hear that?

  • She is beautiful but I don't think she is the must beautiful woman in the world. PSH!

  • why? are you jealous? lmao

  • i agree lol

  • we have different aspects different taste... but indeed she is beautiful

  • who hate pomegranates?!

  • i LOVE pomegranates!!!

  • I think he's referring to the story of Persephone who was abducted by Hades and was tricked into eating the pomegranates in the underworld so she has to stay there for a certain amount of time every year. That's why there's seasons, because her mother always lets the earth die i.e. fall and winter when her daughter has to go back.

  • She is the daughter of Demeter lol

  • yea. after I heard that myth four years ago I stayed away from it as much as possible *shivers*

  • wow.. those Greek myths are so interesting

  • They do go on to attempt the abduction of Persephone. Their aim is to marry daughters of Zeus, but they fail. Miserably. I doubt they'll portray this, but , for them to have added this reference, I'm sure they were aware. This is why I have more faith in this film than "Troy".

  • i prefer troy for the more realistic version

  • nice story

  • can anyone else hear a random buzzing noise half way through?

  • can you upload the rest of it?? thanks

  • where is part 5?

  • Next part?
