I honestly think people need to relax. I loved gallows with Frank, Orchestra of Wolves totally reignited my faith that rad music with real life anger was still being made. Although I also loved Alexisonfire, I'm not a big fan of the new gallows BUT I also don't expect PURELOVE to be anything like gallows. I expect it to be just as heartfelt as anything Frank does and I look forward to hopefully adding a new band to the list of music I trust and appreciate. Just calm down, things will be okay.

They said it themselves they didn't want a continuation of their past work, they actively chose someone who sounded nothing like Frank, they could've chosen Rich carter but they didn't because it's a different band, and it's better that way, their new stuff sounds like Every time I die kinda, and that's an interesting direction to take things. I think it'll be great.
@DomUnseen I get the feeling it's going to be some sort of Symphonic Hardcore punk. Just how Grey Britain used pianos, violins and intrludes with these two instruments. Not to mention that gallows now seem to have a different type of hardcore punk in mind, not to mention with the build up in this teaser it creates a brilliant atmosphere.
@DomUnseen i read somewhere that one song sounds like Queens of the stone age, and one apparently sounds like beech boys? Frank said that himself in an interview i think that was in kerrang. Should be interesting.

Glad to see Frank with Gallows twice, both times technically free as well (Free RATM gig in Finsbury park last year, and Sonisphere.. I didn't pay to see them so it doesn't count) and I'm glad I did. As Frank said this will sound nothing like Gallows, which I'm going to have to take his word on, so I guess if I want new material that sounds like the old stuff, I'm going to have to start up a band. Figures. Still can't wait to see what comes out of this though, consider me interested.

@TheDKCover i was just discussing this, fair play for the band carrying on, and going in a new direction is a good thing sometimes, but they really are sounding like trash talk. everytime i die/cancer bats, i love all them bands but gallows had something of a spark about them, ade them stand out. maybe they just chose the wrong track to preview, the rest of the album may be completly different.

Glad to see Frank with Gallows twice, both times technically free as well (Free RATM gig in Finsbury park last year, and Sonisphere.. I didn't pay to see them so it doesn't count) and I'm glad I did. As Frank said this will sound nothing like Gallows, which I'm going to have to take his word on, so I guess if I want new material that sounds like the old stuff, I'm going to have to start up a band. Figures. Still can't wait to see what comes out of this though, consider me interested.

Just watched the "True colours" preview.

@JakeLeeProductions I honestly think this is the continuation of Gallows as we knew it before the departure of Frank :) or I certainly hope it is. Got nothing against Wade he's a cool dude an all, But the unique feel Gallows had with Frank departed with him imo. Gallows know sounds like everyother American hardcore band, Converge, Terror, Cancer Bats etc... loved the whole British vibe Gallows had:) and i'm not even British ;)

@TheDKCover I don't think this will be a continuation of Gallows as we knew it at all. Frank wanted to go in a new direction, he said Pure Love will be like QOTSA, The Smiths, etc. Doesn't seem like it will be a modern punk/hardcore sound (i.e Gallows)

@TheDKCover i was just discussing this, fair play for the band carrying on, and going in a new direction is a good thing sometimes, but they really are sounding like trash talk. everytime i die/cancer bats, i love all them bands but gallows had something of a spark about them, ade them stand out. maybe they just chose the wrong track to preview, the rest of the album may be completly different.

@TheDKCover Wade is Canadian, if you knew anything about Canadian hardcore you wouldn't be comparing it to the American Scene. I understand that his lack of a british accent may annoy you but just because he speaks north american english doesn't mean they sound like cancer bats or converge.

watch some of the new songs from the AP tour dude, they are not too great either. Frank was obviously the driving force behind the Machine that is/was Gallows and obviously the band wanted to change style or something since he left and that style is what we're now seeing with Wade as frontman... and yeah Cancer Bat is from Canada, but it sounds like American hardcore anyways...

@JakeLeeProductions it doesn't sound like gallows bro, if anything it sounds like Trash Talk, who in their own right are a brilliant band, but it won't be what i love about gallows, i'm irish and i still LOVE that english-ness Frank had to his voice, and his lyrics were brutally honest, i don't think you'll get that any more from gallows, i mean no disrespect to the band or Wade because alexisonfire are killer, i have a feeling Pure Love will be AMAZING though as Frank Carter is a GENIUS.

Not that I disliked "True Colours " but it just isn't Gallows without Franks lyrics.
Not saying that Frank is the only thing I liked about Gallows, but they will go in a whole new lyrical direction with Wade, making it a whole new band.

Frank himself left the band because of the direction the rest of the band was taking the music. But now that thye got the lead vocalist of Asking Alexandria (screamo band) they sound like total shit.

I just realised, Wade joining Gallows is going to be terrible. For one he is not British, Gallows always created songs about their homeland. They could of created a great track about London riots right now but it wouldn't be right cause he's a Canadian. I'm leaving Gallows side and joining Pure Love, Lets hope its something great.
