Sure you where...it's a way of self promoting and steering traffic into your page.
I don't think your playing is bad by any measure it's just that it's guys blowing chops for chops sake...this stuff is music along with great musical interaction and interplay.
Since someone asked, the place where the tempo seems to change is just a polyrhythm. In this case 4 against 3. Tony Williams and Miles' mid-60's quintet did this all the time. Nothing new. As to polyrhythms, 3 against 2 is common, and we all hear it often. 4 against 3 (where the time signature is in 3) sounds much more bizarre, and 3 against 4 (when the time signature is in 4) even more so. Drummers, check out John Riley's "Beyond Bop" for discussion and exercises.
It seems like Vinnie has the ability to make music with polyrhythms...It doesn't sound contrived or rehearsed...just flows out of the moment. Like Tony it is just part of the way he plays...guys who are ultra straight ahead traditionalists seem sound more stale because of their inability to embrace more modern rhythmic ideas?
vinnie is playing swing in 4 time over the 3/4 time signature.. pretty mad. i would find it so confusing playing with a drummer who always broke into wild cross rhythms. these two seem to love it though.
i doubt it, but i could be wrong. seems to me like vinnie picks up on the quadruplets chick is using in his solo at 0.06-0.08 and decides to join him by doing what i described above. and pattituci not wanting to be left out joins in. look at the way he looks at vinnie at 0.14
just thought: i should also point out that its not actually a time change really. only lasts for 3 bars... (which sounds like 4 bars of this 4 time swing.) its more of a cross-rhythm. dont quote me on this but i think its called a hemiola.
Looks like Patitucci has confused upright for a sideways bass guitar.
