@tdade13 I saw the Liege being made on TV back in January and just had to try them. We have been making a batch (12 to 14) every two to three weeks ever since!

The are the Best things ever and the reason I am now 5 lbs heavier!

the BEST waffle topper =

First, lightly-yet-nimbly rub Irish butter on top of the waffle, and make sure the waffle is hot enough for the butter to melt and seep through into the core

then, pre-shape vanilla (or lemon sorbet) ice cream into a thin rectangle the size of the waffle, but with 1/4 the thickness of it- then put it on top

whipped cream topped with chopped blackberries

voila

Hehe I take bites similar to your Brussels waffle, they are that good. Favorite topping? Um... chicken and waffles? xD I like mines topped with shredded fried chicken, maple syrup and whipped cream. The fried chicken protects the waffles from getting soggy from the syrup and whipped cream. Omg I want some right now.

I live in British Columbia, Canada so we don't have these kinds of carts around. And there aren't many of these types of waffles around either. But there IS one place I love to go to, it's a Japanese waffle place. So it's all flat (much like a french crepe) and my favourite things in that are Japanese mayo, corn, and mushrooms. Sounds weird, but tastes oh so good in my tummy. :)

I suppose I have to cop to being an American of Americans because my favorite toppings are pretty Brunchy style. Melted butter (got to have the but-tuh), syrup, maybe strawberries (depending on my mood) and topped with whipped cream. Yummy yum yum. I usually have this as a desert at a Brunch instead of any kind a pie or cake. I find it way more satisfying. Talking about food makes me simultaneously hungry and happy. :)

Fav topping for me would be toffee (like the sunday topping toffee, but a bit richer and thicke) with bits of caramelized apple and raisins that were soaked in an alcohilic beverage for a little while (like rum, brandy, something along the lines of that). If you soak them for too long, the beverage will take away all of the other flavours though....
