The overrated story about how the PS2 killed the Dreamcast is horse crap. The real reasons were because:
1 - Sega was big time in debt during that time.
2 - It's would be killer app, the Shenmue series had been turned a cold shoulder.
3 - No lockout chip to prevent free copies.
Despite having a DVD player, The PS2 didn't have online capability until the Playstation Network Adaptor came in late 2002. Also, the PS2 became notorious for Disc Read Error failures, which happened to my PS2.
fuck ps2 mine is sitting right next to my dreamcast dusty as fuck and not plunged in while not only is my dreamcast clean but im playing it as i write this comment yeah im that good lol
i never was a sega guy..
i had my nintendo .. then super nintendo followed by psx , psx 2 ..
after that i bought the X box (wich was one of the biggest mistakes in my life) and now i got a ps3..
i always wanted to buy a dreamcast god damn those games were amazing! but my parents never buyed me one.. so the dream cast will still a dream ...
but its a fucking pitty that sega fucked up like they did.. i would like to help them, cause they do amazing games..

@Deathbringer99699 You can do nothing. There is nothing that will ever bring the Dreamcast back, or Sega as a hardware development.
We have to live with that, and that is sour burden.
