  • Exelent!

  • we cant se how accurate you are. we cant see well the riffle aspect. We only can see that ugly face man shooting nowhere... Please do it better. Or you better change the video tittle : "Me shooting" other wise people is think that we can see a video focused on the gun.

  • @sextasis HEY! I'm not THAT ugly.

  • @Hanswurst27278 yes you are, I dont like your very ugly face

  • I have a Yugo capture 98K that I love, I noticed that the cleaning rod came loose in the video! Same thing happened to me.

  • I have a Mauser 7x57 with the crest, all numbers match.. I have had it and used it hunting for almost 25 years. It iwas given to me by my father when I was 14, he got it new in 1952. I have killed dozens of deer with it. I now plan on purchasing a 8x57 (8mm) mauser for my kiddo. great gun, great fun

  • mauser is chetniks

  • Waidmanns Heil ! :D

  • Three things Germans were good at, beer, cars, and military guns (yes I know this is a Yugoslavian M48 but based on a German K98). I own a M24/47, love it but only complaint I have is during a hot summer day, rapid succession of shots tends to cause the barrel to bend a little throwing off long distance shots because the wood hand guard traps in the heat.

  • the reloading is porn soundtrack

  • Cool gun dude u are stroge

  • excellent video! Keep up the good work!!!

  • Omg is that a F.A.L to your left?, or is it one of the replicas of the f.a.l?

  • stahlschaftkappe?

zum schluß hatte ich das gefühl du hattest keinen bock mehr?!

    schönes gewehr, professionel bedient....

  • Excellent rifle, where'd you get it?

  • is that an fn fal in the back ground

  • every time i watch this video my ears start ringing.

no wonder that guy is wearing ear protection.

  • idk i am a springfield man

  • @guitarpro48 the mausers son

  • is that a fn fal behind you to the right? :)

  • sry my mistake watched it again, you don't have the butt covered! was to busy watching the mussel first time fucking great noise!

  • excellent rifle...but you got a sock on the butt.....not supposed to show that on vid! Take the pain! lol

  • That is a Yugoslavian made M48 Mauser replica

  • @blobber01 Bravo ti si jedini medju ovim ovde rekao tacno o kojoj je pusci rec moje postovanje

rifle is M48 means there is no chance that it was made 41'-42'-43 M48 means the model from 1948 otherwise this is Yugoslav copy od K98 Muser

use the Internet before you start writing nonsense

  • My opinion best hunting rifle BOLT ACTION

  • hk91 in background?

  • @korn6499 looks like an FN FAL. to me.

  • how bad is the kick

  • @cleosimble not too bad

  • J'adore !!!!

  • better than the mosin nagant ?

  • i was lucky to find one with the markings not ruined, getting harder to find,,,and it seems value went up.Last gun show saw fewer, and alot more money

  • Mausers have such a unique sound when they're fired. There's nothing that sounds like them. Very nice M48 excellent sound quality.

  • Shes a beauty

  • just got a VZ 24 today its romanian. there is not date on the reciever how do I know when it was made?

  • @workensmart : it can not be made in Romania; it is a Chech "model 24"; made from 1924 up to 1942, if is made indeed purposly for Romanian Army must have the code XR 1XXX

  • @liviu1974 Your right about that it is a Chech mauser. I posted that when I first bought it and was just going by what it said on the sales tag.

  • @liviu1974 actually its a m48, a 24/47 has a groove for the fingers in the stock, a straight handled bolt, and a us style sling set up

  • boom! headshot! very nice rifle^^

  • I Absolutely adore my M48 Mauser. I don't think I would trade it for any gun in the world.

  • Awesome sound quality!

  • Haha, awesome video! What a fierce firearm!

I couldn't help but be reminded of that scene in Saving Private Ryan where that enemy soldier they let go was shooting Yanks on the bridge.

  • Yeah! thats the scene I talk about all the time lol. I love this rifle and I own one! You should get one. =D

  • @jmk0309 I actually bought not one, not two, but FOUR of these wonderful rifles right after Obama got elected....

  • @twombonu you sir are insane! P.S. please don't track me down and murder me for leaving that comment. It is merely an honest fact.

  • wasnt it a modifited hunting gun?

  • Actually, it's the other way around - Most modern hunting rifles were derived from its bolt action system

  • do you think the mauser would be a good hunting gun?

  • great hunting gun i use it

  • @Jordan060692

nah Barret 50 cal would be a better hunting rifle

    or maybe not :P

  • they're the best you can even get a sporter style stock and a scope mount that doesn't even permanently alter the rifle. BOYDS sells wood stocks which are what i prefer. and ATI sells the black sythetic stocks which are lighter. ATI also sells the scope mounts all can be found on ebay

  • @poo65

Hell yeah, it'd make a hell of a hunting rifle.

  • @poo65 Yes, i use it for deer hunting, try using hollow tip rounds so the bullet stops

  • @poo65 sure, cant imagine what animal in the us u cant kill with that

  • @poo65 its great for deer I reload for it

  • @poo65 the mauser with a scope is an amazing huting rifle because it is accurate and reliable

  • @baconator490 how much those things usualy cost they don't manufacture them anymore do they

  • @XximaproxX the original mauser 98 or 98k arent made anymore but most rifles today use a similar bolt design and perform just as well. You can find one in bad shape for around $150 and in perfect shape up in the $500+ especially if it still has german nazi markings on it because most are captured and then those are grounded off.

  • @baconator490 thanks

  • @poo65 Every 'hunting rifle' is a mauser.

  • @poo65 Yes, a good hunting gun for canadians asking stupid questions

  • @BigLouieLittlePhilly asshole......no reason to hate canadians i was just asking

  • @poo65 i don't hate canadians so call somebody else an asshole muppet

  • @BigLouieLittlePhilly well you dont have to be an asshole about me asking a question

  • @poo65 ach, halt einfach dein maul du arschloch

  • @BigLouieLittlePhilly and i speak german you asshole so dont fucking try that shit. your mad because i showed you up and your just being an ignorant prick

  • @poo65 zamknij swoją jebaną dupę ty kurwo kanadyjska. ja cię zajebie w każdym języku buraczku.

  • @BigLouieLittlePhilly nice free translation to polish idiot

  • @poo65 jelous muthaphukka

  • @poo65 depends on if you can hit anything with it.

  • @poo65 Almost every commercial hunting rifle today is based on the mauser 98.

  • Definitely M48 i would know i own one haha lovely rifle worth the money extremely powerful and good accuracy on the plus side may not be a WWII K98 but M48's have better steel because germanys cut backs in world war 2 couldn't afford the fine quality that the Yugoslavians could later on, bolts got a shorter action too which results in faster loading.

  • After 1942 quality became less, cause of shortage of good materials.

I own a matching 1940 Erfurt(27) K98.. Wow, it still is a super gun to shoot...., and these (1935-1941) are the finest German K98's to have.

The Yougo's are also really good and fine guns, though they are very similar- but not K98's.

  • It's not a K98, Its an Yugoslavian M48 rifle, wich looks like the Mauser. The first thing you can see it at, is the wood wich surrounds the rear sight. The K98 Mauser has'nt got that...

By the way. Get rid of that cleaning rod under the barrel. It's an mismatch.

You need the shorter one (26cm). This one is too long (32cm).

  • I used a mauser (.38 i think) last year deer hunting. It had a scope though, and I really like the rifle.

  • To de-cock the rifle dont just pull the trigger dry, open the bolt, close the bolt while drepressing the trigger. The firing pin will de-cock slowly.

  • i do this myself it's how i store my rifles. just be sure not to do this with a round in the chamber like when you're hunting or something. it will rest the firing pin on the primer this would be extremely dangerous. it wouldn't take much to punch off a round.

  • @jamesrobertmey lol kinda like the good ole russian sks

  • M48 is Yugoslavian rifle.

  • Yeah... check that kick out on his shoulder lol i gotta say i love the kick tho makes ya feel like ya have a real rifle not these new carbon meterial crap rifles now a days.

  • I think that´s a Mauser K98.

Have fun with shooting. But you shuold clean the weapon before you shoot it after a while. It could be a little dusty.

  • If you store it correctly (heavily oiled, and in a hard case), you can leave it untouched for years, and it will still be in firing condition when you bring it back out.

  • Really? hm, maybe you´re right, but I would clean it in every case after storing it for years.

BTW: Are you really shure that this is a Mauser M48? Itz looks like the Mauser K98 used in WW2.

  • how much dose it kick. and would it be a good rifle to use deer hunting? i saw one for sale for 299 dollars. i was thinking of getting it

  • recoil is manageable but for 299, I have seen Savages in pawn shops which are more appropriate for hunting.

  • Most if not all WWII rifles have some good kick to them. They were meant to kill people with one shot. It is a excellent rifle and a well trained German Sniper could kill people at 1200 meters with a Zeis scope on. Ammo is cheap along with the rifle. Just make sure you find one with a good barrel and it is not all beat up.

  • i know what u mean. i found one at gander mountain it looks brandnew thanks

  • Comment removed

  • and the point is??

  • To have fun.

  • what kind of tape is that on the butt?

  • I found that the sights on the m48 where pretty poor so i put a whilems peep sight on mine

  • that 8mm can bark!

  • Congratulation! Nice!

  • Damn fine video. Thanks for the post. That 's a Yugo M48, right ? Mighty fine rifle. CZ makes one that's supposed to be really good too.

  • I,m generally not interested in guns but that is quiet a fascinating piece of history.

  • the sound is great!

  • @m1garand44 Yea the 8mm has a nice boomy report, not sharp like a 223 but different than a 30-06

  • damn that was awesome!!! i wish i could have that rifle. so i could do some wild boar hunting. & im gonna attach a sniper scope on top of it. thats gonna be cool

  • At over 35 dollars for 20 rounds i understand why you haven't fired it for a while. It really is an amazing rifle though.

  • It's all about the surplus ammo. You can still get 900 rounds of Yugos 50s at around 200-250 if you look around.

  • you have never had a ruptured case then trigunthe3 because brass and gasses fly everywhere and military surplus ammo is the most likely ammo to rupture or destroy a weapon.

  • Ah man,out of all of the WWII firearms the Mauser is my favorite bolt action rifle.I want to get one so badly but I have no idea where to find a good one!

  • that Mauser's bolt works so much easier than my Mosin Nagant bolt

  • take the mosin bolt and reciever to a gun smith and try having all the friction surfaces polished to a miiror sheen, that might make the bolt a bit more slippery for ya and make it easier to cycle.

  • Nice rifle, btw what is that rifle in the background a FN FAL maybe?

  • nice mauser!

  • dam powerful

  • dam thats a awsome sound

  • is that an SLR to the left of the guy?

  • its an fn fal

  • nice rifle...we like to keep fellow shooters around as long as we can to increase our shooting sports so wear safety glasses next time.

  • trigunthe3,

keep a ruptured case from blinding you...are you an idiot or just a moronic dickhead?

  • the bolt will hold the shell back and glasses arent gonna do jack shit if the bolt blows back

  • Safety glasses protect you from quite a few things when shooting. Most commonly any powder that wasn't completely burned that escapes out of the receiver.

  • How much does this cause? Im planning on going for a run at the rifle range

  • nice yugo

  • I should be getting my m48 with ammo pouch and bayonet soon ($240 plus ffl and shiping $300),we have a columbian 30-06 mauser an argentine 30-06 and an 8mm k98k possibly from yugoslavia.

  • that gun sounds awesome

  • few questions about the mauser

    1) how hard is it to find ammo- could i walk into just about any sporting good store that sells ammo for "modren" rounds- 7mm, .3006, .308 and find ammo for it?

    2) effective range with a entry lvl hunting scope?

    3) how best to get mount a scope?

  • Is it supersonic that i can hear it 2 sec after it shot? :D

  • Nö, it's because of his camera.

  • While I agree that it is the cameras doing for the delay, all bullets are supersonic.

  • Actually, the US and Germany use subsonic 9mm ammo, for use in a MP5 with both silenced action and barrel. It's a very quiet shot, almost imposible to hear from more than 5 meters away.

  • I meant rifle rounds. Thanks for the clarification anyway. :)

  • loL!

  • your cleaning rod is too long

  • no its not.. this is a yugo m48 if it were a german k98 like my rifle then yes.. and as for the m48.. its a great rifle but i dont want one.. just not appealing to me at all.

  • now I see. when you shoot it just nocks it out.

  • Nice Sound.

  • never put a scope on that gun and look into it while shooting...

  • i put a scope on my .22 rifle and shoved my face into the scope to aim cus i was dumb. the recoil poked the scope into my eye. i can only imagine wat this gun would've done.

  • hahahah I did that when firing my first 30-6 and cut my eye. It was a day to remember lol.

  • It is because you need to buy a better quality scope that has a decent eye relief.

  • omfg is tht an stg44 next to u?

  • Looks like an FN-FAL or a variant thereof.

  • yea now that i look at it more it does look like a FN FAL or a G3

  • its an FAL.

    I have both.

and for the record, the FAL vs G3 debate is like .45 vs 9mm.

  • which is the 9mm?

  • holy crap, why will it not reply to the proper post?

  • lol, the point is, they each have their own good and bad qualities, and neither one is truly BETTER than the other

  • it looks like a FAL assault rifle

  • i dont got any connections. only my inner circle really knws the idea. also suppressors reduce recoil as well, so even a 9mm round could have a smaller recoil.

  • why does it do that? the sound comes like a second after the bullet is fired. or is it just the video?

  • most likely is that the video got messed up when it was being edited or uploaded.

  • when i was young i shot an m4 carbine with me dad and was shocked how low the recoil is

  • well the m4 carbine its a cool weapon, powerfull and no recoil. its incredible, the mauser its an antique weapon. its the other side of the m4

  • i like the m4. it is excellent on soft targets. and thats all it is good for. if anyone were armored the m4 could nt stp them. that is why i think it is a horrible military weapn

  • the m4 has recoil, but it is dispersed on your shoulder because the but stock is in line with the barrel. that's why it doesn't kick up like the mauser. and i agree that the standard m4 sucks. i've fired a 5.56x45 bullet from a .22 k98 style hunting rifle, and i can honestly say that the round sucks compared to the good, old .30 cals. the m4's operating system is also disasterous, but it was changed, thank God, in the hk416 rifle. (it uses the AKs bullet ejection principle)... AKs are the best

  • what woud be perfect would be about a 6mm. In most assault rifles, the cartridges (or powder charge) is in a range between a pistol and a rifle round. think of it as a magnum round on steroids. if it fired a 6mm full rifle round, it would be much more powerful, a 6mm*58mm round would be perfect for troops wearing bdy armor.

  • true enough... but that is one seriously big charge and a not that big bullet. hmmm... that might be a good idea, but it would require ballistic testing etc. And with a charge that big the recoil would be significant to say the least. The gun itself would have to be rather heavy to compensate and not shatter your shoulder while firing. Not for assault rifles, but an AP sniper rifle perhaps... It would definetly be handier than the current AP snipers, the 12.7mm

  • reply well the BAR (firing the 30-06) did maintain decent accuracy, as well as the johnson lmg. the 30-06 being larger than the 6mm, and if their is a close to equal bullet mass/ powder charge ratio then the 6mm could be a very good asset.

  • true. but it's still a big round, that would require a large magazine box, unless you'd equip a belt fed lmg with it... the plus side of a smaller round is that you can carry more of them for the same space and weight of a bigger one... but it is still an idea worth checking... did you recommend the idea to someone?

  • man how can i do to reduce the recoil, this is killing my arm!!

  • If you reload, reduce your powder charge by a few grains.

if you don't, you can buy slip-on Stock buffers at MidwayUSA*dot*com

  • ok thanks!

  • OMG! you mean factory 8mm mauser recoil hurts you? lol come stand behind my hog rifle, A seven pound 300 win mag shooting 185gr accubonds :-)

    R

  • i dont say the mouser 8mm round, ive got the mouser argentine 1909 7,65. this its much powerfull than the 8mm

  • the mauser isnt really 8mm. it is precisely 7.92 mm.

  • the argentine mouser year 1909 its mande in caliber 7.65. its most powerfull than the 8mm

  • what i mean to say is the karabiner 98 kurz. sorry for the confusion

  • the argentine mouser 1909 its a caliber 7,65 mm, its too much powerfull than the 8 mm.

  • And how did u get these guns? What is the price of it?

  • internet, private buyers, gun stores. The Mauser retails anywhere from $190-$700, depending on make, model and condition. mine is a Yugoslavian M48, and retails around $300

  • that is a very fine condtion mauser the stock and fore grip is in perfect condition i likes

  • The K98 is still made, you can buy it here for 250 euro's, straight out of Germany.
