I lived here as a child, in the keep house, my mother was housekeeper and my father was gardener.must have been about 8 i think, that was in the the late 60's early 70's, I remember I had a wonderful bedroom.
It all seems so long ago now !!! there was a butler there at the time called Brown, my mum had many a run in with him, we used to take the entrance money off visitors when they came to view the castle ........ Thank you so much for a walk through my childhood ... Lyn x
