  • Very cool video. Makes me wonder if Matsi will form a relationship with any of the dwarf conifers. I'm thinking dwarf conifers, and climate controlled bio-domes in select areas of the globe. Perpetual Matsi...?

  • Wrong way to harvest! Do not pull and break! Use a sharp knife and cut.

    DO NOT DISTURB THE MYCELIUM...................please!

  • Listen, I'm sick of people telling me how to harvest wild mushrooms. I don't know if you have hunted for Mati's before, but this is how you harvest them! Don't go around telling people what the right way to do something, unless you know for sure what you are talking about! Which you obviously don't. I appreciate your concern about how to pick mushrooms correctly, but not all mushrooms are picked the same way.

  • i pick lots up around whistler bc ..... good video ,,,, ts btw you still picking?? my last day was nov.7th but i might go for a look today.... oct 30 and 31st were 350 days

  • This video was taken around Oct. 15th. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to go back out for Matsi's. I really should have, because it was a really good for them this year. Happy picking!

  • I guess we have them in Michigan, but I've never gone out to look for them. I usually stick with Armillariella Mellea & Entoloma Abortivum, and of course, Grifola Frondosa. Then Tricholoma Flavovirens, if the weather gets cooler & wet. A couple of weeks ago I found Hygrophorus Russula buttons by the basketful. I love them stuffed with sharp chedder and broiled. ( crisp & tart & buttery all in one taste )
