In my experience it's more common that boxing purists 'hate' on mma spewing some ignorant propoganda b.s about how it's just a 'fad'. Mma fans for the most part respect boxing (if they know anything about fighting). There's nothing like the sense of occasion that comes with a classic boxing match, everlast leather, pensioner commentators wearing tuxedos and shady pimps in the front row wearing lavish suits. That's a rich heritage right there and mma has a long way before it can replicate it.

Hopkins has his next 2 fights on HBO, Bute has his next couple fights on Showtime.
