  • @Marius1988Roma Thanks!

  • I play metal/hardcore/screamo,but i took everything off my kit and left the kick, snare, hat, and floor Tom with a ride cymbal and had so much fun pocket drumming to this tune.thanks!

  • Call me crazy, but doesn't the last hit of the loop set you up for the IV chord? I hear a F#7b5 punch following the G7#9 punches...Does anyone else love this loop but feel like it set up a bridge that we've been robbed of?

  • dude thats the hendrix chord!!

  • E7#9 or 'The Hendrix Chord'

  • ta atoo caxete muy buena

  • best jams on you tube nice!

  • HELP

what key (or mode) are you guys using to jam over this ???

  • c pentatonic, nice n simple :)

  • c dorian works well especially if you add passing tones in like the flat 5 and major 3rd

  • its a major key tho, not a minor.

  • so are most blues songs, which this chart follows in progression, 1 4 5, and you play minor pentatonic and mixo over that so dorian works well usually if you through in some major thirds and the blue note

  • yea good call

  • ur dumb every major key is a minor key cmajor is aminor

  • Comment removed

  • no, this song is in C major, not A min. A min is the relative minor or C major. They both have the same key signature but begin on a different note.

  • C blues, Mixolydian, pentatonic

  • killer jam...thanks!

  • it sounds like the tower of power tune diggin' on james brown, just because of the changes

  • glad some one else noticed

  • SURF ON THIS WITH A BLUESY RIFF IN Cm WITH AN E7(ish) TURN AROUND

  • @RWMondak dude dude dude.... F7 ;) x

  • no joke i thought this was my dads secret account, he made the same exact song on garage band to a tee.

  • It is Garage Band ! Drop & Drag !!

  • isnt this just like a tweaked version of diggin' on james brown by tower of power? :P not dissing or anything i think its really cool :P

  • nice one dude

  • thanks a lot. very helpful. sounds really like the tune diggin on james brown from tower of power with some changes.

  • perhaps i need to get this garage band those samples are cool

  • C Blues or Dorian works the best.

  • I always get so confused with this kind of songs, I can play C Pentatonic "blues scale" and A minor right? And also G, and E at the 12 fret box? Plz correct me if I,m right so I can se if I've got it right. To me it sounds right:)

  • its in D dorian mode.

D dorian mode shares the same notes as G minor. So play a gminor but start the scale on C. But you can also play C minor pentatonic , or maybe even a G blues scale or even a C blues scale.

  • D Dorian is not the same as G Minor. D Dorian is the same as A Minor.

  • yes you are right i misstyped! i meant C dorian...

  • A minor sounds wrong.. You might get away with playing some notes from A locrian, but really C Dorian and C blues is the way to go for this

If you wanna mix it up a bit a sharp third in c dorian can sound pretty nice if used right i've found

  • Its in g pentatonic and c dorian

  • Comment removed

  • It's in C (and C dorian would be a great scale to use to jam over it along with C "blues scale"/C penatonic if you're a scales kinda guy.) The reason you thought was in G too is because it is a twelve bar blues, which means it goes to G every twelve bars. Also this track starts on a G chord, but I assure you it's in C

  • What is it then, smart one?

  • Sent a video response to be approved for this one...cool track...

  • latin backing tracks on my tube

  • I checked them out but its you playing over something...not a true backing track in the scheme of things, although I liked it...

  • its not something. these are complete songs, but i show of them just some seconds. You can find the song titles next to the videos!

  • Okay let me look again man....

  • yeah man .. nice jamtrack of 'diggin' !!!!

    thanx for your work!!!

  • From garage band.

  • This track is the most fun I've ever had . The length is friggin' great. Your page friggin' rocks dude.

  • by C you mean G

  • lol its in C dude, not G, if thats what you meant

  • they both C and G sound good; if you play in G you get a little bit of that fusion/jazz sound but you can combine C and G in that track and you get fusionised (haha) like Scott Henderson... peace :)

  • Its C9 F9 then G7#9 I think. For improvisation I use Cblues with all 5 positions. C Dorian and D Phrygian making the 6th natural seem to work well if used occasionally. G# Lydian from the relative major works too and occasional use of C major 6th arpeggio. My improve still sounds average to me with my style, I don't seem to be too able to adapt.

  • great trax man! i play every night to these, it keeps me rockin! could you do somethin along the lines of still in love with you by thin lizzy? but if not these are cool keep it up!

  • Key of C

  • if you cant work out the key GIVE IT UP!

  • if you care so much about the key,GIVE IT UP!

  • it would make things easier if you said what key each of you backing track are in

    otherwise there excellent

  • great thanks!

  • These are awesome. I'm telling my friends.

  • very good job man! put "backing track" on titles to easy find you
