I love CG and I think they did a good job on ToH too, but it's not Tales of anymore with CG. I'm happy that they were experiemnting with CG but I'm more glad, that they keep going with the animated scene. It's what makes the Tales of Series so special :)
I heard the reason they made a CG version was to appeal to western audiences who they thought wouldn't like the anime style. If that was the case why didn't they release the game to us? lol
@Makoto03 The CG thing wasnt made to appeal the audience, it was the fanbase that thought that this had chances of coming to USA because the CG would appeal westerns.
Er... not quite. Downgrade one generation and insert the letters "FMV" after PS2, and that's a bit more accurate. An FMV can look as good as the creators want it to, given that you're not playing a PSX or something. 's just streaming a video, from what little I know.
I'm currently working on finishing the anime version. but the cg version looks really good considering it's on DS. I still prefer anime style (it's a tales game it should look anime) but this isn't half bad!
That looks a lot better than I thought it would. I'm surprised they managed to pull off graphics like that for the DS. I still prefer the anime version though.

The movie quality isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I still prefer the anime version, but this is nice.

CG is pretty good considering it was DS. But they need to improve on expressions if they plan to do this again.

agreed, the only reason I would end up getting this version is for the collection.
I would buy the anime version to play though.. then people on the Bus would be like... omg what r u playing?? pokemon!?!?!
