Dani!!!!!!!!! Always have a BLAST dancing with you. Miss jamming out wit ya. Looking forward to our next one. Hopefully it comes sooner then later. Hope all is well.
Great moves but only the girl is listening to the music and working with it when she can. At the start it goes into instrumental but the guy changes nothing and goes from cross-body move to cross-body move. There is no footwork or allowing the girl to do something by herself.
Youtubers are never impressed. They are both on time throughout the entire song. Shines can be fun at times, but if you dance frequently enough you'll discover that YOU CAN DO THEM BY YOURSELF! Stop criticizing and take some notes from these guys.
I have to say, while it's easy to love Danielle's following and styling normally, I think she looks even better in this video. Danielle can you reflect on it a bit and tell us how you think this ranks as far as your dances (ignoring Ataca's skill)? Where parts do you think you could have improved?
Thanks for the compliment! And on to your questions: To me, this dance is great, both the feeling of it at the time & also watching it in retrospection. Why do certain dances look better than others? I'm really not sure, but I think it mostly has to do with a matching of styles between leader & follower. I have been comfortable with Jorgie's lead since our first dance, & this has allowed me to focus less on following (because it comes so natural with him) & more on the musical interpretation...
... as well as styling, etc. The simple answer is that I was relaxed enough to be me in this dance. The why? That's harder... I'm really not sure why that happens with certain dances/leads & not with others.
Improvements: I remember that the floor was mad sticky that night, so I felt a little sluggish on my spins & reaction time, I have to learn to handle that better.
I've seen a few of your videos and love that you can follow almost anyone. Do you think follow first then style. If the guy is a good lead and knows to gives you your 6 7, you have all the time to style. Then your always ready on 1 for the next move, not breaking the flow. Nice.
If your attending the DC congress, try Iran Castillo, he's one of the instructors. He can give you a challege with awesome moves and patterns with a very light lead.

1 - White is my new favorite color.
2 - Danielle's body movement should require a permit.
3 - ATACA!!
