this album is awesome, i wish they would re-release it with new vocal tracks, and the second album too (come and join us) specifically the title track, it would be awesome if bob hartman brought these records back with new vocal tracks, it would be even cooler if he had both greg volz and john schlitt do the singing on different songs of their choosing and maybe even a duet or two, you know they knew each other before volz left petra
It's been said that this album was recorded rather quickly on a low budget. All things considered, it's an awesome recording. A lot of progressive passages for it's time.
I agree. Even though I was pretty "unseasoned" when I first bought this in 1977, I thought it sounded a little raw but that there excellent musicianship within it.
Wikipedia says this album was recorded on a budget of $1000. What a great investment. The article points out the flaws--but it actually sounds great for a record made with practically no money.
Petra (1974): -Wake Up -Get Back to the Bible -Gonna Fly Away -Storm Comin' -Parting Thought -Walkin' in the Light -Mountains and Valleys -Lucas McGraw -Backslidin' Blues -I'm Not Ashamed Inserta el titulo de cada canción para encontrarlas.

I remember every song from this album except Mountains and Valleys pretty much by heart from when I owned it in the mid-70's.
