Givant, Being a guitar ( what i like to call expert ) Van halen's solo for beat it was not just a "tapping technique" Some parts were, actually alot ,but there was alot more than just tapping if you listen carefully. I have been practically worshiping the guitar since very early age. Listen to Van Halen's solo for beat it there is alot that would surprise you. You are right that it is not Slash's style though even though he does play it alot for covers. Still, Van halen's solo is not easy 4 any1
