@grassyknollgunman1 ouch. zing! i take it Rossi is in a league of his own. Not too familiar with motorcycle racing...i just keep hearing the name Rossi all the time, he must be the Schumacher of bikes.
Duhamel is the reason why I bought my first Honda CBR 600. I remember going to the races at Luguna Seca and getting his autograph...not to mention setting up his electrical for his paddock ...working the Luguna Sega electric side setting speedd loops and satalite links has lots of perks at the age of 22. But honestly after years or three you get burned out...lol
I know this is old but I love this video. Forget whether the bike was safe etc., how do you crash at that speed, stop sliding long enough to get on your feet, and go directly to a full sprint to get to your bike? I've gone over the bars before on a dirt bike at relatively low speed and had to lay there for a few minutes to figure out what was going on.
It's pretty fucking stupid to climb back on a crashed bike and put yourself and others at risk like that. The damage potential is too great. What if he crashed into another racer and hurt or killed somebody or himself? The sport would have the blackest of black eyes. Stupidity and the AMA go hand in hand. Just look at how racing in the US has been gutted by those assholes.
@Boleslav69 Were you born a DOUCHE or did you take lessons? If you ever get out of your diapers and end up roadracing, you MIGHT get a clue as to just how dangerous it is. Large type assholes like you should stick to playing badminton. Jerkoff. Fuck you, you scumbag cocksucker slimeball in a sea of puss.
@Boleslav69 Assholes who play video games and *think* they can roadrace are idiots. Maybe you might learn how to ride a motorcycle after your balls drop.
@Boleslav69 He fucking highsided, dickhead. Suppose the throttle got damaged. Or his front brake lever. Or something else that could have caused an even worse crash after he got back up to speed. His throttle sticking wide open could have killed him or someone else. Can inbred pea-brained assholes like you comprehend things like this? That you know NOTHING about? Fuck no..... because you're a douchebag. Fuck off.
@Muzzy337 You might have a problem if you feel the need to post same polution 3 times. Anyways if you ask Duhamel or any other of his fellow riders they would tell you the same. That s why he s a riding star and you and myself are not and are watching him on TV admiring skills and balls. You can find x amount of examples of riders like rossi finishing on podium after crash with broken clutch and anckle. It s how championships are won.
Now write some more insults, says more about you then me...
@Muzzy337 are you really talking shit about what this pro rider did? They are there to win, and they all are aware of the risks. They know their bikes like the back of their hand. I pretty sure he's aware that something could be wrong with his bike, and he definitely did not do anything wrong. So relax Mr. Safety guard. And, we're all going to pretend you didn't call anyone pea brained for the sake of...well, being over the age of 9.
@rmcclane01 - Yeah, I saw a rider crash, get back on his bike, then did another high speed crash a few turns later because he couldn't slow down. He had broken his brake lever but didn't know it because he didn't check the bike out when he crashed the first time. Seconds count if you want to win or finish in the points.
@brianlp Similar thing happened with Tommy Hill to cost him the British Super Bike title last year at Oulton Park, he binned it lowside into Lodge corner, got back up, bike was damaged n pissing fluid onto the rear tyre. a lap later he full on threw the the bike into the same gravel trap cos of the damage and three other riders went down on his oil concurrently. I was stood at lodge corner and was covered in gravel from hill's cartwheeling bike and then my view obscured by the flames and smoke.
Miss him in racin. Once when daytona was rained out till tues (i think) they asked him if he was ready to go home. he replied "hell yes, the dog tracks are bleeding me dry!"
I felt of my first bike . A Ducati800supersports. And cried for a whole day. Watching this MAN Crash tumble 18 times around and get back up to the Fffing Race ....... He has my Respect 100%.
it's one of those things you actually have to do before you can learn to avoid it.
it happens when the rear wheel suddenly gains traction after slipping out and jerks the bike upright.
when your back wheel is sliding out, you have to be very precise with the clutch, throttle and brakes. if you hit the rear brake or give too much throttle, the bike will lowside. if you panic and pull the clutch in or let go of the throttle sharply, the bike will highside.
