With my 134, I use it for both bronzer and contouring. It's a fluffy brush so it picks up LESS powder than a more dense brush would. I do use it to pick up loose powders and pressed powders, but for more precise control of applying, I use my 129!

The 129 is a POWDER/BLUSH brush that, with just one tap onto your powder, picks up the PERFECT amount of blush for your cheeks. I like it so much that I have 3 of them!!

I have the 129SH (a short-handled 129 that I keep in my purse to retouch my face with foundation powder, blotting powder, or sheer powder), one for my makeup kit for applying pressed or transluscent loose powders in my skintone, and one for blush -- because it's just PERFECT. I love it.

Go to the counter and ask if you can test one out! See if you like it. :)

recently i bought the smokey eyes palette from mac and wen i got home i jsut realize have of the palatte are glittery =/ especially that 'ambience' aggg chunks of glitter

the only color i like are Scant, Satin Taupe, Dark Devotion, and Carbon...maybe a little bit of gorgeous...but i think it has little glitters in it, too

so can you please pelase please do a tutorial using those 3 of my fave colors =)

MAC Mineralize Skinifinish in Petticoat doesn't have "GLITTER" really, but it's definitely packed with micro-shimmer. So if that's not really your thing, I'd skip it. The gold veining in the powder adds a lot of gold and glitter to it, but you can actually go to the counter and hand-pick the compact you want. If you want less gold, just pick the MSF that has less gold veining and more powder. ... Or you could just get "Dainty" blush, which is the same thing but without the gold veining.

NARS Casino might be a better choice for you -- it's a bit of a deeper color. If you're going to use it for what I'm using it for (contouring lightly), Casino would be perfect.

I recently bought MAC brush 134 and its so freaking huge and too fluffy IMO. Initially I wanted to use it for loose powder but it really isn't working. What other use do you think 134 has other than for bronzing (like in your video)? Great videos! ;)

I agree that it's super huge! But that comes in handy. Looser, fluffier brushes apply LESS product than a more compact brush (like, say, the 129, the 109, the 116, etc) -- I use it in this video to "contour" my face because it does all the blending FOR me without me even having to spot-apply the powder! It's like it APPLIES blended. :O Haha. It's also good for the body as well. After I bronze my face/chin/whatever, I like to sweep a little of the bronzer onto my collarbones, then --

I feel that this "unifies" the color of my features (that way I don't just look bronzey on my face, but the rest of my exposed body looks this way as well). I actually did that for this tutorial, but I had to cut out a LOT of it. LMFAO Originally, it was like 30 minutes long because I did so much explaining. DARN IT YOUTUBE!!

hey cheri, some questions about your concealer!

-do you put your concealer (for redness, blemishes)on before or after foundation? and why did you put concealer on your lips before you put on lipliner? awesome tut, you got me lemming on half the shit you used here! LOL

I spot-conceal with the 194 on my blemishes BEFORE applying foundation (the concealer I use is full-coverage!). But I don't apply it ALL OVER. JUST over blemishes. To disguise redness, I just use a green concealer stick and swipe it over my problem areas, then blend it out with a flat foundation brush. :) The reason I put concealer on my lips is because my lips are HUGE, and I wanted to change the shape of my lips with my lipliner (make them a bit smaller -- define the pout). :) HOPE THAT HELPS!

Also, I didn't put concealer ALL OVER my lips -- just around the edges. My concealer is basically the same color as my skin, so I just blend it out and kind of "erase" the edges of my lips. Then with my lipliner (Dervish by MAC is my EXACT lip color), I trace around the inner edge of my lips and fill it in with the lip liner pencil. I've basically recreated my lips! :D Then I just apply the gloss over it. VOILAAAA New lips hahaha -- THE MAGIC OF MAKEUP LOL

Also, I know I keep replying, but ... LOL! With my STUDIO FIX FLUID foundation, I apply it with my MAC 187. It's a perfect brush, so I always end up with LOTS of foundation left on my hand because the brush doesn't soak up the product. I use my 194 (concealer brush) to POST conceal (which means, after I've applied my basic layer of concealers and foundation, I go over with my extra product and "build" a tiny extra layer over any obvious blemishes). :)

I use MAC's Studio Fix Powder as foundation once in a while, but find that I need to retouch it within four to five hours. Is it the same for Chanel's Double Perfection Powdered Foundation?? i wouldn't say its the same with mac's studio fix because with this one..it gives u a matte finish and can last for a good 8-9 hours. and you dont really need to touch up as much because it also gives u a dewy look the longer u have it on..makes it look more natural..it comes in a cute compact case w/ a mirror. i just checked the price and surprisingly went down to $50.00. used be $60.00. the make-up last me about 3-4months. depending on how often u use it. ok hope that helps =)
