Lara was like Kim Bassinger beautiful before they let model types act.. she was pretty as a model and could act up a storm..one of my absolute fave actresses EVER. I used to want to act and then I wanted to write. To have a great actress like Lara to write for would be AMAZING! She would make the words breathe for REAl. Thank you for posting this:) I was a fan then and will always be. Now I want to see if there is a convention near me someday:)

(potential spoilers?) I think Angelique's anger and vengeance came long before Barnabas, back when she was caught up in Judah Zachery's coven. The way she was abused there may have left some emotional scars . My favorite part of the show is that in the end, we learn that all the supernatural and evil in Collinsport originated with Judah Zachery, a fact only revealed very near the end of the saga! Kind of like how in Final Fantasy IV you don't hear the name Zemus until very late in the game...

Lara and every actor on this show can count on some immortality, that's for sure. I myself minted two new loyal fans to the show during its 1990s run on Sci-Fi channel, resisting mightily their imploring to reveal 'what happens next.' No lifelong fan would rob a new one of that thrill. And they, in turn, are sure to plant the Dark Shadows 'seed' with neophytes to come. Love for this show is everlasting.

She was fantastic on Dark Shadows and you can tell from her speech here that really nice people are the ones that can play the baddest! Angelique was a terror. One of televisions greatest villains.

One of the great joys in life is watching Dth S. I always thought it was interesting how much the show changed from 1966-1971. It started out with hardly any supernatural elements and ended with vampires, witches, and werewolves. So bizarre and so much fun!

How nice to see Lara speaking at the Burbank DS fest. Yes, she is indeed still lovely and charming. And in spite of her celebrity she is a down to earth person and loves her fans. I've been able to attend 6 DS Fests in the past 20 years and the DS folk never fail to totally enchant me. If you ever have a chance, do try and attend the yearly DS Fest. They are wonderful and hearing the DS stars reminisce is priceless. Thanks for sharing.

Lara Parker's 'Angelique' was THE seductive, empowered role model of my adolescent years.

My bedroom walls were covered in 'Angelique' photos back then. I was 100% Obsessed during the 'Dark Shadows' run.

I desperately wanted to change my name to 'Angelique' then.

Lara looks AMAZING. What a charming woman she is.

She will, though, Always be 'Angelique' to me.
