The "fourth wall" is the audience, and it's basically an invisible barrier that actors usually don't cross. "Breaking the fourth wall" means either talking to the audience (like Gohan is here) or acknowledging that you're in a performance (e.g. referencing someone as a main character).

Like let's say an episode of Spongebob or so when someone just stops the whole show to ask a question the audience would be wondering "Hey guys, ever wonder why we can talk underwater and wear clothes but are so stupid to do the most sensible thing throughout our lives?" things like that.
