  • hello i just bought a brand new house about 8 months ago and alot of mortar joints are cracking around the whole house can you tell me if this is common or not because im very worried?

  • these people that are in school are pre-apprentices and apprentices. i'm an apprentice and i have to work 1200 hours then go to school for 2 months and then back to work for 1200 hours I do this 6 times then i can take the test to be a journeyman brick and stone mason. I think that is the best way rather than 1 full year of school, but if you can't find someone to apprentice you this program is good. labouring for at least a year before you get on the wall is the best way

  • Really like the bricklaying in backround pure art. Where are you based i would like to learn the complex side.

  • 1 year in the shop and your on your own.

thats a fucking joke. have fun pulling down walls and fixing them

    rookies

  • Good points you make about putting up with the weather, physical demand, and height's. All are a big part of the job

  • hmmm most of the stuff u learn in a school type place for learning bricklaying , everything u learn when u get on real job you gotta learn everything over. its better to learn on the field
