  • how Cuba's oil-for-doctors deal came to mean slavery. The Cuban medics were forced to work seven days a week, under 60-patient daily quotas, in crime-riddled places with no freedom of movement. Cuban military guards known as "Committees of Health" acted as slave catchers to ensure they didn't flee. Doctors earned about $180 a month, a salary so low many had to beg for food and water from Venezuelans until they could escape.

  • I think electric vehicles powered by solar and wind and biodiesel from alge would greatly mitigate the effects of Peak Oil. Over all I fear that there will be less NET energy all together. Oil was a once in a life time gift of God, nature, geology that once is gone will never come back. A blip on the radar screen of civilization.

  • @rdsanchez1966 You might want to see the documentary called, "Who Killed the Electric Car."

  • @SuperJason707 I did. They are coming out this year with a sequel called "Revenge of the Electric Car." Wouldn't miss it.

EVs or no EVs we are headed to an era of expensive energy. Thanks for the comment.

  • But once Iraqi Oil comes on line we don't have to worry about a thing. Ditto for Alberta tar sands and American oil shale. We can go out a buy a SUV or two.

Yeah and I can tell you about Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.

  • @rdsanchez1966

You're an evil idiot. Basically your attitude is only caring for yourself, have you not got a shred of intelligence and decency to realise more oil is definetely not the answer. I hope you don't have kids and grandkids, and if you do, it is impossible for you to love them properly with those views.

  • @Gaznugget Look up the word SARCASM in the dictionary. I believe in Iraqi Oil saving the day (OPEC reserves are inflated per OPEC export rules of the 1980's), Alberta tar sands saving the day (a net energy loser - Canada is better off exporting their nat gas than burn it to produce low quality oil), oil shale saving the day (net energy loser too) as much as I believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny & the Tooth Fairy.

Lighten up and don't take things so literal.

  • @rdsanchez1966

Oil cannot save us oil will be the end of us. Look up the word UNRENEWABLE in the dictionary. If people would just "lighten up and not take anything literal" we will be in an even bigger mess. And no, I won't lighten up, because unlike you I care about the children of the future and I know that if we let people like you get your way, their life will be hell, due to uur evil self indulgent greed.

  • need the full thing.. where can i find it?
