Yup, pick-up manaburn, and the timing wasn't always that good, ended up having to take a lot of shots of it, we had that typical pickup manaburn problem where sometimes people wouldn't be paying attention :)
Ah, OK. So this was probably a pickup manaburn then, and not anything like a static. Makes more sense now. Looks like you had the simul-cast AM down pretty well :)
Several reasons: we had a pretty large level gap between black mages and there was a large range of equipment/gearing in our party so some people were being resisted more, we had some JP in our party so trying to explain a sleep order wasn't really working, and overall we decided it'd be better to play it safe and have everyone sleep rather than get anyone killed, generally for each kill about half the party would sleep it depending on who had extra mana at the time.
Why is everyone sleeping then aspiring? When I did manaburn, I pulled (as rdm) and slept. the 5 BLMs would all simul-cast AM of thier choice. By the time I came back with another raptor (valley of sorrows) they were ready for another volley. -- Just wondering :)
at what lvl can u fight those? for a blm burn ?

Right... but why are all of the BLMs sleeping, why not just one designated sleeper?

Because we had a Corsair pulling/refreshing and it was before the patch when Corsairs could sleep things
