I know. But, maybe in this family's native culture posting the wake is their way of pubicly expressing their grief. Maybe the members of their culture want to be seen in death. Or, maybe they have family in other parts of the world and want to make the wake widely available to them. Sometimes, we Americans think we set the standard for everyone.
1st & foremost, i came from that/their culture, ergo I know what the culture is about. Traditionally nobody takes any photos unless for the immediate family to remember the deceased. 2nd, if they want for out of the country family members to see the 'wake', they have the cellphone cam and able 2 upload here, it means they have e-mails of all outside the country family member... they can always send them that. Iam not here to criticize but theres a limit to all.
I'm curious to know, so please tell me what culture the video people and you are from. Many times, in different areas of one country the cultural practices are different from in another part. I didn't realize that every person in that culture has the same rules for him/herself when it comes to funeral viewings. Different cultures bury their loved ones in various ways. A wake in the home of the deceased is not uncommon in several cultures. Not uncommon to videotape it either. @aljhgc some cultures celebrate death because in their eyes it is nothing to be feared and they want to remember their loved ones for the way they were. I know some cultures do quite the opposite. I am hispanic and when my Grandma died my mom covered all the mirrors and dressed in black and wouldn't play music or watch t.v. I was 12 yrs. old at the time and didn't understand. That's how they do it in our culture.

So y can't families of loved ones who have passed share their experience with others and y cna't others respect the fact that this families wanted to share with whoever would see it. It shows a young man who has passed on and the family is sharing the expressions of flowers and such. Just because it's not the way YOU do it, doesn't make it wrong. This is tastefully done and I didn't feel wierded out by it at all. Come on show SOME knd of respect for other people...please?

I know. But, maybe in this family's native culture posting the wake is their way of pubicly expressing their grief. Maybe the members of their culture want to be seen in death. Or, maybe they have family in other parts of the world and want to make the wake widely available to them. Sometimes, we Americans think we set the standard for everyone.

1st & foremost, i came from that/their culture, ergo I know what the culture is about. Traditionally nobody takes any photos unless for the immediate family to remember the deceased. 2nd, if they want for out of the country family members to see the 'wake', they have the cellphone cam and able 2 upload here, it means they have e-mails of all outside the country family member... they can always send them that. Iam not here to criticize but theres a limit to all.

I'm curious to know, so please tell me what culture the video people and you are from. Many times, in different areas of one country the cultural practices are different from in another part. I didn't realize that every person in that culture has the same rules for him/herself when it comes to funeral viewings. I don't know of any other culture (beside yours) where every person owns a cell phone with cam either. I'm very curious to know. Thank you, in advance, for educating me.

I understand the disappointment because the pc system filtered this as a related video to MG. But, I don't believe the poster intended to mislead the viewers. Different cultures bury their loved ones in various ways. A wake in the home of the deceased is not uncommon in several cultures. Not uncommon to videotape it either. I truly believe it was only meant to memorialize this young man's life and death.You may not have been the intended audience on YouTube (I KNOW I wasn't!!! ;-)

@aljhgc some cultures celebrate death because in their eyes it is nothing to be feared and they want to remember their loved ones for the way they were. I know some cultures do quite the opposite. I am hispanic and when my Grandma died my mom covered all the mirrors and dressed in black and wouldn't play music or watch t.v. I was 12 yrs. old at the time and didn't understand. That's how they do it in our culture.
