Do you not get any hair breakage by getting bleach on the hair that was previously lightened? I leave bleach on for 30 mins but if you accidentaly get it on the hair that has already been bleached that means bleach would be left on those parts for 60 mins all
You did an absolutely stunning job. Best bleaching job I've ever seen, hands down. Where are you from? I live in chicago and want you to do my hair NOW! I'm so done with this nonsense, I haven't gotten my hair done in 5 months!! Specifically because I don't trust anyone let alone myself to touch my hair!
Hi so after watching your video i switched from my regular bleach to joico and I found it to be very heavy and drying when trying to shampoo it out. When kind of developrer do you use? and maybe I should not use 1:1 ratio and make it more creamy?
Thank you so much for this video, I learnt heaps, and have been able to bleach and tone my own hair at home, leaving my hair soft and healthy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
@karlimoran Thank you so much for replying. I think I will go back & buy a 20V. Thank you for all of your help, I can notice how good you are at hair. I can't thank you enough,
Hmm so the 20V Developer will work on me ? They told me because of my hair color I would have to use a 30V or 40V... Sorry for the bother, I just want to get the advice from someone that I've seen that can actually achieve the color I would like to have..
@angelchic33 I never use over 20vol when it comes to a full head application. Usually if your starting level is very dark I will reapply over the first applicatin 30 mins later... it is less damage to the hair and it better for the scalp...I work for Paul Mitchell Systems and that is usually what we do because when you wash the hair the cuticle layers begins to close and you have rinsed all the oils from the scalp; therefore, the cuticle layer has to be opened AGAIN!
Hello, I'm currently studying Cosmetology & this is my last year. I wanted to ask you a question because my hair color is a light brown & I wanted it all platinum blonde. I went to Armstrong McCall today & they tried to help me with what to buy. They told me to buy the Wella Professional Blondor Bleach with a 40V Developer. & also an ashy tone. I bought Logics B-SS toner. Do you think you're mixture of Goldwell products results better ? Please let me know & thank you for your time.
@angelchic33 As you can see I used a cream lightener with 20 vol (6%) ...using 40 vol(12%) is entirely way too much power and could lead to breakage in the long hall. If you watch my video and apply enough product you shouldn't have any problem getting your hair that color...
So is the Joico cream lightener a bleach product? I have been hearing a lot lately about bleach-free ways to go platinum....I heard once about the brand (scruples).....any advice or information? I loved this video!!
Im platinum. Its not that hard. I bleached my hair(i forgot what brand)toned it once with manic panic virgin snow, and maintain it with biosilk silver lights shampoo =] expensive, but worth it
I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I am able to achieve a platinum blonde of that level just by what I've learned over time. I've never fried my hair off and it's always evenly toned and healthy. It CAN be done without a professional if you research the proper way to do it before hand.
Her hair looks healthier than mine did even before I bleached it! Do you have any recommendations for conditioning your bleached hair if it is like extra extra dry?
if i bleached my hair about maybe 4 months ago and it didnt even come out that good only went from black to brown can i do this over that bleached part? and roots?
Your clients hair looks so good. I home bleached it about 4/5 times with xxl absolute platinum by swarzakopf (don't no how to spell that)... I got the platinum colour, but my hair was like a giant candyfloss. I'm so confused...
I have a cuestion.. how come, went some ones to keep the back below the axipital bone a dark color, but want to go lighter some stylist start in the front and not on the back! why is that!! is in supost to be hoter on top of the head! i need help thanks!
Yes but it requires a HIGHLY skilled colorist...someone that has knowledge of what strength of lightner and how many applications it will require. IT HAS TO BE NATURE.... if not it will NEVER get to the pale stage. Her natural level is a 7 Natural Ash
What in your opinion is the best hair care (shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner) for fine, abundant hair with curl that has been bleached? My hair has been described as course.
I would describe my scalp as dry. I have no dandruff, but no oil either.
How would someone without a license purchase the Joico product you mentioned?
Although I only retouch my regrowth..I felt my hair had become too light. When I attempted to apply 10N shade my hair shade turned GRAY. How >>>>>>>
You really will not be able to get the Joico Cream Lightner unless you have a license or someone that has a license. Shampoo and Conditioner I swear by is Goldwell Dual Senses Super Rich Shampoo and Conditioner....if your scalp is dry you should invest some money in a Tea Tree Essential Oil and apply that with a cotton ball and that should alleviate the dry scalp issue caused by the lightening process. If 10N is too gray then use a 10 Beige and see if that works.
You did a really good job!! I have a few questions though....Can you tell me how many ounces you used for each colors of the toner?? Is it ok to overlap already bleached hair with these products?? And last one...if my hair is all over one color do I start at the roots or 1 inch away from my roots?? Thanks!!
I usually don't measure in ounces but if you had to break it down Goldwell Color: 1/4 oz 10P (Blue-Violet) + 1/4oz 10BS (Blue) + 1/2oz Clear + 1oz of Colorance Developer. I wouldn't recommend overlapping previously lightened hair unless your wanting to take the ends of the hair paler.... never lighten hair to white... rather lighten to palest yellow (inside of banana). If you use a cream lightner you can apply the lightner where the regrowth is at...
...if you are using a powder lightner I would apply a 1/4 inch away from regrowth and then go back to the scalp and apply after the hair reaches a yellow color so you get a even result.
Joico Cream has the lift of a powder lightner and the gentleness of a cream lightner. It is by far one of the best lightners I have used on the market. I have used almost all lightners and this is surpasses them all!!!
I wish you could do my hair! Finding someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to blonding is hard to find. Do you have any ideas for platinum blonde with regrowth, who don't wanna go solid again all over? I've been told a low-light/root highlight mix but worry about the overall blonde on the bottom looking washed out from the low-lights.
I think doing three colors would definately help blend your regrowth and make the eyes softly across the hair as opposed to doing bright highlight and a stark lowlight.... I would definately do a highlight formula with a cream lightner + 20vol. Then do a highlift color that has Blue-Violet and Blue Base colors in them to create that "mid-tone", and then choose your low-light color of your choice. Remember I would stay in the icy cool to neutral tones when picking lowlight.
where did the sound go?? D:

If I bleach my hair it just gets damaged and breaks off.
Even if I haven't coloured or bleached it before.
How do you prevent it from breaking?
