yeah u get more dps if you do not shield
but what if heal fails and you die?
no more dps for the whole last phase
people remember shielding when malygos focusses on you

Monkeyman this is required for a 6 min maly kill. The raid groups and moves in a large circle around the boss so that heals hit everyone every time. If done correctly nobody dies.
You can be chain hit by "focus" and not die if you do this so yes i have a idea of what i am talking about.

Well actually his strat is for a 6 minute kill, not just a general "how to kill Malygos" strat. Like he says, if you shield, you lose your dots stacked and you won't put out enough damage for the 6 minute kill.
This strat is doable but you certainly can't take a scrub group, you need people who know the fight and follow directions.
