I went to a local store the other day and with a coupon I got free lotion and gum. Very small I know but I'm just now dipping my toes into this pool. I have a feeling this is going to get addicting. WARNING: I bought the Organix Defense Tropical Orange drops. I had one last night and had a SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION to one of the herbs in the drops. Symptoms included swollen lips and tongue as well as a tight throat and hives on my arms. I just got back from the doctor after getting a steroid shot. I'll be on steroids and 2 antihistamines for the next week. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! THESE THINGS HAVE SOME UNCOMMON HERBS IN THEM! Thumb up so everyone can see this.
@jalapena2007 I am feeling better, but I'm on a lot of meds right now. It sucks. I made an appointment with an allergist/immunologist to try and figure out exactly what ingredient caused the reaction. It was scary! Now I'm reading label on everything I pick up.
Every single store in my area limits coupons to 4 coupons per like items. So I can get the soup, but only 4 using coupons. The rest of the 14 soups would be at the sale price, but no coupon can be used. Walmart does not put that limit on me but they don't double coupons. They do give cash back though. Gets confusing, and I really have to compare prices with/without coupons to get the best deals. You seem to do very well in your area.
@rivers1anne For the soups, I used two DIFFERENT coupons. They weren't the same code, so it worked. It was like $2 off four and $2.50 off five coupons ... something like that. Or you can do two transactions. If you separate the transactions, you can use the same coupons on four items per transaction. My rules seem to be the same as yours. You can do this.
I have tried the coldcalm, It worked for me, My nose was super runny and I could not stop sneezing. U have to take alot of it as it disolves under your tounge.

I was wondering about the whole "rain check" deal. The other day I did a mini-haul (lol) at Rite Aid. The Blistex that was advertised for like $1.49 and you got the $1.49 in rewards was all sold out... as well as the Burt's Bee's Cough Drops. So I was thinking, this isn't right, is it? They shouldn't advertise it if it's not on the shelf. But anyway, I hated to be a stickler and ask the cashier so I just let it go. Are they required to do a rain check on that? Since it would be "free" anyway?
@amber8949 I would definitely ask if they will, if it's something you really want. You have to go early on Sunday to get the free stuff. People swarm like vultures.

@151bestrum You can pay with register rewards, even if you use coupons. I think walmart takes all store coupons. I'll keep you updated. You can do this!
I go to the grocery store once every 3 weeks and spend $300 I refuse to do this ever again. Last Tuesday I left disgusted in myself for not having coupons. I vowed that day to never ever pay $300 EVER again. I might not walk out with $1200 and only pay a few bucks but I think for me saving 50 or 60 dollars with coupons is acceptable. I got the paper Sunday and will continue to do so every weekend. Next time I go back I will be prepared. Thank you for getting me motivated.

Amen, sista! I worked at Walmart for one LONG year and a few months and I pretty much wanted to murder most of my customers. After that, I don't shop there anymore unless I'm absolutely desperate. Once I was pushing a cart down the main aisle and a man came one inch from hitting me from a side aisle, so I told him "watch where you're going" and he, with his 4 year old child in the cart, said "f*** you" to me. I almost threw mousse at his head. That place turns people into douchebags!

Heidi, i get happy too when i get out of the house, even if it is to buy toilette paper, lol! I fell like its me time in a way. It actually relaxes me after hearing my 3 chipmunks fight and call mami, mami, mamii all day. I have also gotten the "stink eye" when i present my coupons, idk why. Im like, cant a mom save some money? Its not like im leaving the shelves empty, right?

Good info Heidi. Haha I have a notebook, which is pitiful inside, not well organized or very full. But I'm a beginner 2. Is it ever embarrassing 2 bring that thing in anywhere!? So I don't lol. I pull stuff out I think I'll use in the car, & once inside I sometimes wish I had the notebook w/ me! I didn't know about the free stuff @ Riteaide!: )

I love your videos! I also feel the same way about using coupons. I have found that most stores managers are very helpful at explaining how coupons work. I have had really good luck that way. It's about having a good attitude like you said! Happy Savings! Take care.
Forgot to mention Walmart here is often higher priced on their stuff than Walgreens, Target and CVS. Their grocery items across the board are higher than Sam's Club and the the surrounding grocery stores. People automatically assume they're cheaper and wind up getting more of the people's money who can least afford not to save. They aren't necessarily cheaper whatsoever, people have just bought into their propaganda.

We definitely have a love-hate relationship with W. So happy to see this video. My night of clipping paid off. I saved $46.87 in Walgreens which included $8 off/2 Covergirl face products, so those were free and I saved $73.98 in Walmart on our consumable household and health products; which by the way we were completely out of, so I did this at exactly the right time! This was cool! I felt empowered once it was all done, but a bit nervous during the process. Out of pocket total $133.90 and that included all my groceries to boot. Yay! xoxo
I love your videos! I thought of you last week when I was shopping- so I went by the make-up aisle and got some of the coupons on the new products displays. I got an Almay $1 off (any cosmetic) coupon and CVS put them on sale this week for $6 and you get $4 back in rewards. So I basically got the eye shadow trio I wanted to try for $1! :D

I vowed that day to never ever pay $300 EVER again. I might not walk out with $1200 and only pay a few bucks but I think for me saving 50 or 60 dollars with coupons is acceptable. I got the paper Sunday and will continue to do so every weekend. Next time I go back I will be prepared. Thank you for getting me motivated.

Yay for great couponing HEIDI ;o) Tati´s cosmetic savings are amazing too ... You are such happy girls in the US. Returning policies, coupons, GWP, BOGO´s, a whole lot of products we don´t even get our hands on, great TV shows, and on and on and on ... and we have historic places ... hmmm ... what else? Amen, sista! I worked at Walmart for one LONG year and a few months and I pretty much wanted to murder most of my customers. After that, I don't shop there anymore unless I'm absolutely desperate. Once I was pushing a cart down the main aisle and a man came one inch from hitting me from a side aisle, so I told him "watch where you're going" and he, with his 4 year old child in the cart, said "f*** you" to me. I almost threw mousse at his head. That place turns people into douchebags!

Heidi, i get happy too when i get out of the house, even if it is to buy toilette paper, lol! I fell like its me time in a way. It actually relaxes me after hearing my 3 chipmunks fight and call mami, mami, mamii all day. I have also gotten the "stink eye" when i present my coupons, idk why. Im like, cant a mom save some money? Its not like im leaving the shelves empty, right?

Ha! Loved the Walmart vortex comment :) My husband and I can only stand to go there like once a year because of how rude everyone is there. We just can't take it! We're lucky to have access to a super target, which we prefer and has similar prices. Phew. Great job couponing!

Good info Heidi. Haha I have a notebook, which is pitiful inside, not well organized or very full. But I'm a beginner 2. Is it ever embarrassing 2 bring that thing in anywhere!? So I don't lol. I pull stuff out I think I'll use in the car, & once inside I sometimes wish I had the notebook w/ me! I didn't know about the free stuff @ Riteaide!: )

I love your videos! I also feel the same way about using coupons. I have found that most stores managers are very helpful at explaining how coupons work. I have had really good luck that way. It's about having a good attitude like you said! Happy Savings! Take care.

Forgot to mention Walmart here is often higher priced on their stuff than Walgreens, Target and CVS. Their grocery items across the board are higher than Sam's Club and the the surrounding grocery stores. People automatically assume they're cheaper and wind up getting more of the people's money who can least afford not to save. They aren't necessarily cheaper whatsoever, people have just bought into their propaganda.

Just yesterday I discovered the the Rite Aid website has a thing where you watch short advertisement videos and you earn coupons that you can print and use at Rite Aid. On one hand, we're not rich enough not to take advantage of their - usually - lowest prices on almost anything, on the other hand you gotta hate what they do to small businesses. So happy to see this video. My night of clipping paid off. I saved $46.87 in Walgreens which included $8 off/2 Covergirl face products, so those were free and I saved $73.98 in Walmart on our consumable household and health products; which by the way we were completely out of, so I did this at exactly the right time! This was cool! I felt empowered once it was all done, but a bit nervous during the process. Out of pocket total $133.90 and that included all my groceries to boot. Yay! xoxo

I love your videos! I thought of you last week when I was shopping- so I went by the make-up aisle and got some of the coupons on the new products displays. I got an Almay $1 off (any cosmetic) coupon and CVS put them on sale this week for $6 and you get $4 back in rewards. So I basically got the eye shadow trio I wanted to try for $1! :D
