The federal reserve is a private banking cartel that's ripping off the productive in society. Banker bailouts are nothing more than that. This dude wants nothing more than to perpetuate the status quo - which is a ripoff of anyone doing honest work in society.

@orangedac The scarier thing than his dodge of the audit question is explicitly stating congress shouldn't oversee the fed, and of course that it shouldn't be abolished. The former being more surprising, seeing as no mainstream politican wants the latter. I was unaware that the status quo politicians would blatantly say congress shouldn't oversee monetary policy, thats like embracing the philosophy of the Federal Reserve as its own branch.

The problem is that you think the Fed doesn't get audited because Ron Paul says so. The reality is that it does get audited, but Paul doesn't think the auditors are trustworthy.
Romney makes a good point when he says he doesn't think congress should be in control of the fed. It is not a government corporation. It is a private operation that needs to stay private to remain honest.
The problem with Paul supporters is that they don't know very much about politics.

All funding for any community's public schools should come from a localized source of tax revenue within that community. This question has nothing to do with ending the Fed, either.
