  • Kamina....

  • I hate this fucking Japanese! xD This Game should be german too :D

  • It's be funny if the Mugan were hand drawn in the game.

  • ENGLISH DUB

    DO WANT

  • odds of getting a translated rerelease?

  • not a bad game...7/10

    Anime 23/10

  • @MPDB666 more than 10 million light years/ 10

  • @thecomputerist right,right!!!! :D

  • if this was released in America it would make me get a DS fuck you America

  • Damn it Japan! You always keep the best shit for yourselves!

  • I would be scared that putting this in any console would in up in grown a huge drill and pierceing the heavans.

  • The song is SOIRORO DAYS

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMikedomann Nope, it's Happily Ever After.

  • @FullmetalAlcheemist I Misspelled the song. It's Sorairo Days. You Google either one and the same thing comes up. What was the problem.

  • @TheMikedomann Still.. It's not Sorairo days, it's Happily Ever After.

  • @FullmetalAlcheemist Its the same song. Its titled Sorairo days in Japan, and Happily Ever After in America.

  • @TheMikedomann Lol, get your facts right. It's not the same song, and Sorairo days means sky-blue days.

  • @FullmetalAlcheemist Yup. Google Sky Blue Days. Then google Sorairo days. Then try Happily ever after

  • @TheMikedomann What are you talking about now?

The song in this video: Happily Ever After

/end of discussion. It's not Sorairo Days and no, Happily Ever After and Sorairo Days are not the same songs. Just goddamn listen to them.

  • @FullmetalAlcheemist Your slash doesn't justify the end of a discussion. None the less, i will stop bothering you if you promise to stop arguing with me ^^

  • @TheMikedomann What the hell?

Do you really believe that Sorairo Days and Happily Ever After are the same song?

  • @KaiserdeEmperana What? Sorry, i get lost in your Japanime shit ^^.

  • @TheMikedomann They're sung by the same person, Shoko Nakagawa, but they're different songs. One is the opening theme while the other is background music during the more badass scenes.

The reason they end up together in your search is probably because they're on the soundtrack together. However, the style of the songs and the lyrics are different.

  • @TheMikedomann And I think people stopped saying Japanime back in the 80s. If you don't like GL, why did you watch the video?

  • If anyone wants to know it's the Gurren Lagann theme song.

  • Does the game have CLENCH THOSE TEETH!!!?

  • What is the song?

    please!!!!

  • @xan3000 Happily ever after

  • I have a question......? Does the game have "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM KICK?" LOL!

  • if this came out on any game system your game system will brake from the epicness lol

  • PSP please

  • can u play this on an american ds?

  • I'm really thinking about getting this game...I can only read a little bit of Japanese though. Will I need to be fluent?

  • OMG what is the name of this song? I heard it in the movie but I could never find it.

  • @TwilightPhoenix0402: The song is called: Happily Ever After.

  • this should go on the psp its hardware will be so much better and the characters will actually be able to talk

  • @lokey478 dammm your so right!!!!

  • TTGL DOESNT DESERVE TO BE ON DS

  • @FPSdude97 wth? ttgl is one of the best anime shows in the world, and if you ask me, I say to you that a TTGL video game deserves to be on the Nintendo DS!!!!!

  • @TheMikulover666 lol i was mad for some reason when i posted that but what i mean is, i want it on a gaming device i have like X box 360, i think i got the ending to an anime i was watching spoiled, before the last episode.. yea

  • This game... Not the best one ever, to be frank. It's GOOD. It's a little complex and difficult every now and then, and the gameplay is kinda unique (which in a sense is good though). I've totally beaten this thing. Final boss is a bit of a disappointment.

Also, lemme tell you this before you get it somehow: You can only play as Gurren, Lagann or Gurren-Lagann. No Tengen Toppa or anything. D:

  • hola consulta cual es el nombre del tema que se escucha de fondo desde ya muchas gracias

hello question what is name of song this videos thank

  • the problem is, they put it on the DS. really, any console at this point could probably be really fucking awesome the moment this hit it's processor, and it'd like, grow drills and assimilate kitchen appliances or some shit.

  • Original japanese speech at end of second movie:

This drill will open a hole in space, and that hole will become a road for those that follow. The hopes of the fallen, and the hopes of those to come, combining those feelings into a double helix, I'll dig a hole to the future.

    That's Tengen Toppa!

    That's Gurren Lagann!

My drill is the drill that will pirce the heavens!!!

  • You... really didn't pay any attention to the dub, did you? That's pretty much, no, exactly what he said. What few differences there are are insignificant. I don't see the point at having even brought it up, are you speaking against the dub or something?

  • @Momentum139 I watched the dub and the japanese MOVIES. i meant to say that that speech was from the movies. And i loved the dub.

  • Am I one of the only people who thought this was a good game? Not great, but good.

  • Bungie should make The True Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Video Game.

  • Unfortunately, you can't contain all that awesome in a game. QQ

  • I really wanted this anime to last longer, but I guess all great things have to have a great ending at some point.

  • I cant believe that the TTGL MMO that was planned ages ago was so epic and manly it crashed windows!

  • @NexusHybrid "Beta testing had ended on April 16, 2007. The player takes up the role of a driller and drills for treasures in first person view."

    sounds epic AND manly.........

  • @RedShanaBFMV And for every other console, like PS3/360/Wii or even PC. Mostly for gameplay issues, it's just not fitting for a game.

  • I don't care if I can't read japanese, because it's TTGL and everything TTGL Is a must have.

  • The problem is that Gurren Lagann and its epicness could not be kept in a simple disc. So the epicness broke and glitched the game itself.

  • @SasoriOfTheBlackSand Lols, "We're the Gurran Lagann, Who the hell do you think you are?! Trapping us in the disk like contraption of some sort?!?! We'll break through the screen and kick yo asses!"

  • @TreeSolwindComet is that what the lame dub version says? cus the original is way different and more epic.

  • @elpicos8091 lol its not what the dub says he's just saying that xD

  • @TreeSolwindComet lol no wonder windows crashed when it was an online game XD

  • @TreeSolwindComet would you like to be in a console version then?

  • jo tengo el juego

  • ...Why?

It's not physically possible to get it right... Why did they have to ruin the epic with a game?

  • Whats the title of this song again? thanks

  • @jehutys5 happliy ever after by nakagawa shouko

  • The problem here is that TTGL is too damn awesome for a game.

  • @dn92fma

maybe not too awesome for a game, but definitely too awesome for the DS, lol. PSP FTW

  • @Reisyukaku Not really, simply badly developed and a bad idea for a game, there's just no way for TTGL to fit as a game in any console, the battles wouldn't be that epic and no console can handle chou tengenn toppa gurren lagann.

  • @dn92fma you mean to MANLY

  • @dn92fma Not for a game, for a DS game

  • @dn92fma yeah, a POS handheld system cant contain that much AWESOME, shouldve made a PS3 game....only PS3 haz enuff GRAFIX to handle BIG BANGS and universal fights

  • @TonyBMan But Sony is known for raping series beyond recognition.

THE ONLY SYSTEM ABLE TO CONTAIN THE EPIC OF TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN IS THE TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN ITSELF!

  • @dn92fma too damn awesome is not the right words its fucking too damn awesome not even theres nothing to describe ttgl hehe

  • I don't care if this game sucks. I want it in America because it's TTGL on my DS.

  • @Sparx1 dont act that you know everything..

  • Everyone says the TTGL game was horrible... I guess that proves the inverse media theory...

(BTW that's the better the game, the worse the anime of it, and the better the anime, the worse the game.)

  • Sephiroth was a better HERO than Kefka, in Crisis Core. Til he went batshit, and then I was reminded of his terribad archetype in FF7. But a better villain? He was a more annoying antagonist, primarily because of how GENERIC he was in FF7, but certainly not a better villain. Mind you, Kefka DESTROYED THE WORLD. Halfway through the game. Sephiroth failed to do this (or even plunge the world into darkness or whatever) 3, THREE times. Once in Nibelheim, once in the crater, once in Advent Children.

  • People who like this shit probably also like Final Fantasy 7, Bleach, and other generic anime garbage.

  • omg 10-12 seconds was gawd awful

  • Gurren lagann doesn't suck if the game ends up sucking its because of the DS's piss poor grafics

  • @Sonicfalcon16 dont blame games on their graphics you douche

  • @rockonpartyonrockon This. Some of the best, most timeless classics out there have outdated graphics. For example, Pong, Galaga, Space Invaders, Street Fighter II, Tetris, and Joust. Something tells me, however, that in 20 years from now, nobody will even remember the name "Gurren Lagann", nor will they be playing this game, in the way that people still play 20+ year old classics to this day.

  • @Sonicfalcon16 Actually, Gurren Lagann is a rather piss-poor series. Pretentious Gainax bullshit, yet again. (As if Evangelion wasn't bad enough.) Also, your grammar is terrible and you misspelled the word "graphics".

In before "ITS TEH INTERWEB AND I DONT NEED 2 USE GRAMMR"

  • No, Gurren Lagann is not a bad series, it's just something that you don't like. To your above statement saying that nobody will remember the name Gurren Lagann in 20 years. People are still quite obsessed over Evangelion after it's 15 years of being out. -_- This game wasn't put out to be remember, just to make an extra buck with fans. Just like when your "amazing" Street Fighter put out an anime. Don't like the show? Stop being a jerk and posting bad comments and go post somewhere else.

  • @YariMatthews

    1. People still go gaga over garbage like DBZ after 15+ years, or FInal Fantasy 7 after 12+ years.

    2. The Street Fighter anime movies sucked. All of them. Thanks for further proving my point that spur-of-the-moment fanservice crap generally sucks.

    3. Welcome to the internet. Spoiler: There are such things as negative opinions, too.

  • Yes, but there is no need for excessive amounts of negative comments.

  • @YariMatthews Uhh... For garbage like this? There's no need for the excessive amount of positive comments, either. Negative comments for garbage games such as this, based on garbage anime such as Gurren Lagann, are needed to balance out the over-abundance of positive comments left by those with low standards who wouldn't know a good game from a bad one.

  • Gurren Lagann is NOT a garbage Anime. It's one that has no reason, granted, but it was a great story about maturity. Much better than Anime like Naruto or Aquarion. Just because you don't like an AnimE(Not U) doesn't mean you need to span a video with negative comments when ONE would have sufficed.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd yeah, right... Next thing you'll say is that FLCL and Evangelion weren't pretentious shitpiles.

  • Evangelion had some good depper meanings behind it. It told a good story as well. Granted, the main character was a huge coward, but it was still enjoyable. And Fooly Cooly was made to be as Random as it wound up being.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd ...No. Evangelion was pretentious crap. i.e. the series' creators seemed to think they really were making something godlike, and rode with it, expecting the audience to fall for it. It was giant robots with bible references, albeit poorly-done. NONE of the characters in Eva were any good, barring perhaps Pen-Pen. And no, FLCL was just rubbish. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

  • Do you honestly think I agree or would be disappointed with that? Evangelion was revolutionary for it's time, and is still heralded as one of the best Anime of all time. Fooly Cooly, I will agree, was stupid, but it fulfilled it's purpose.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Also, way to take the bait. Whenever I say "animu", there's always SOME weeaboo out there who rushes to the scene and corrects my spelling because it offends GLORIOUS NIPPON ^__^;;

  • I didn't correct your spelling becuase of Nippon or anything stupid like that. I correct EVERYONE's spelling. Check my other comments and you would know that, you idiot.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Lol, grammar nazi.

  • It comes with having a teacher that was one. I guess it rubs off on you.

    -Raptor, out.

  • whats the name of this tune?

  • why does everyone say the game is terrible? it looks good to me!. if its that bad why don't some review it then and show some gameplay?.

  • You must play pets or some shit.

  • whats that suppose to mean?.

  • @5150hold There's a gameplay video up. The battle system looks really uninspired.

  • this game looks like shit any game ive played made after a show or movie is horible this does not look any diffrent from what ive seen

  • @grenade180 You should try UN Squadron for SNES (based on Area 88), or the Astro Boy game for GBA. Those are pretty much the only good animu-based games out there.

  • EPIC ANIME but will the game be the same epicness?

  • @elpicos8091 ...Did you watch the same Gurren Lagann I watched? I dunno about "epic", but it sure was pretentious and generic.

  • i watched the japanese version with english subtitles. What they really say in the subbed version is a whole lot different than the dubbed version. and a few other things.

  • @elpicos8091 Yeah, I watched it fansubbed long before it came out here. I still don't see the big deal about it... typical Gainax bullshit.

  • gainax?

  • @elpicos8091 Yeah. You know. The animation studio that made Evangelion, FLCL, and now Gurren Lagann. Gainax.

  • it pains me to insult anything gurren lagann related but... this game looks like shit...

  • Of course it looks like shit. Its a pixelicious, artifact rich vid showing a DS 3d game for christ sakes. Either GTFO b2 PSP land or lower your expectations back down to reality.

  • i so agree with just wathced the first 4 sek and whoo what a shit game O_O

  • @crimx3 It's based on a shitty animu, what did you expect? They stopped making classic-tier anime series after the year 1998.

  • ..,....

  • This game isn't that fun. the only reason I really played it is because I am a big fan of the series. If I didn't know about Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann then I would definitely be unsatisfied with this game.

  • my life has changed forever

  • I hope it comes out in Canada...

or the US so I can order it!

  • Even if this game stinks, I'll still buy it.

The chance to control Gurren Lagann... get to use a Giga Drill Breaker!

    -Raptor, out.

  • The game stinks? Where'd you hear that?

  • No, I said even if. I haven't heard a thing about it. i was simply saying if it stinks, I'd still buy it.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd ...You are the cancer that is killing gaming.

  • How so? By saying I would buy the game even if people said it would stink? I bought the Last Remnant even though IGN said it was horrible, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I play games for fun, and for the mechanics of the game. I still play games like Super Robot Taisen, Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun, and Final Fantasy IV, so why wouldn't I play something I enjoy?

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Paying money for shovelware like this is telling developers and publishers, "MORE BULLSHIT, PLEASE! :D" It paves the way for more shitty games and less good ones to be made.

  • You and I both know they're going to continue making bad games whether anyone buys them or not, just like they are good games. However, some of us enjoy games because of the gameplay and mechanics, not because it's the Most popular thing out there.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Gurren Lagann = one of the most popular things out there. Shame about the shitty gameplay and mechanics, though, as made evident in this video. :(

  • Yes, Gurren Lagann the Anime is extremely popular. The game, however, is basically unheard of.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Let's hope it stays that way. While there are good obscure games, obscurity doesn't necessarily equal quality. Ever hear of the PS2 games for Cowboy Bebop, Azumi, and Blood Plus? Or how about the Bleach: Heat The Soul games that Eighting shits out twice a year?

  • I enjoyed the Cowboy Bebop PS2 game. The plot was horrible, and the gameplay even worse, but the OST was extremely well done. I will agree that the Bleach Heat the Soul games should be in the same pile that Bully and 40 Winks are in.

    -Raptor ,out.

  • @Raptorianxd ...You enjoy shitty games with good soundtracks? Might I suggest Final Fantasy 7?

  • Played it. The storyline was well done, but it does not deserve the hype it has gotten. FF IV deserves it much more. That was actually a good remake on DS as well.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd "The storyline was well done"

HAHAHA, OH WOW. Alright, going to fire up the Saturn and play some Battle Garegga. Enjoy your shovelware, your hypocritical standards, and your shit taste in games. :)

  • The storyline is still talked about today. They made a world the was well recieved, as was the story. It's what Square Enix does. Again, I ask, why would I play a game I don't enjoy? And for some shameless boasting, 17040 Gamerscore.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd

    >implying "gamerscore" means shit, when 1000 of those gamerpoints are potentially from Avatar: The Last Airbender

inb4 you claim they're not. Even so, I don't count accomplishments in gaming by the "achievements" and the gamerscore that Microsoft has set up. I can get every achievement in Ikaruga HD, Raiden IV, and Mushihime-sama Futari, and it would still be too much work for the measly gamerpoints they offer. (albeit a much more satisfactory gaming experience than, say, Halo)

  • @Raptorianxd Yeah. The storyline in Evangelion is still talked about today, too. Much like Eva, FF7 had convoluted storytelling, plot holes out the ass, unappealing characters, and mostly unimpressive visuals-- while FF7 had shitty graphics all around, Eva had terribad animation unless there were giant robots onscreen. (the scene where Shinji kills Kaoru was also part of Gainax's cop-out bullshittery)

  • FF7's graphics were GOLD for the time it came out. The music was amazing, and Sephiroth is one of the best villians of all time. If the entire cast had been fleshed out like he was, maybe the game would have been better.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd No. When I think "good villain", I think Luca Blight, I think Kefka, I think Craymen from Panzer Dragoon Saga, I think Nohman from ZOE2. I don't think Sephiroth. He was a bland character with an Oedipus complex. And no, FF7's graphics were NOT gold... ESPECIALLY not the blocky Lego character models. The battle models were ALMOST up to par with two Saturn games released a year earlier. (namely, Nights into Dreams, and Panzer Dragoon II Zwei)

  • Kefka was a demented clown who only cared about power. If we're talking good villians, then what about Sanger Zonvolt? Lyon? Seymour Guado? Cid Highwind? Colonel Redips? Narshen?

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Kefka was still a superior villain to Sephiroth. I'll take a demented clown over a mama's boy any day. Seymour? You mean that overly-effeminate faggot who married Yuna to present a more heterosexual public image? Also, Cid Highwind? A villain? .... Are you HIGH?

  • If you know the full backstory of Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal, then you might understand why he's better than Kefka. Yes, Cid Highwind, a villian. And a dang good one too. Cid was a crazy inventor in FF XII, and was ready to destroy the world for the sake of his inventions. He wasn't the main villian, but he was still a villian.

    -Raptor ,out.

  • @Raptorianxd Oh. Thought you meant FF7 Cid Highwind. (How lazy of Square to re-use the last name, as well... but, alas, they are Square...) Never played 12. Heard the battle system played itself, the story from what I've read of it didn't interest me, and Vaan is a massive faggot.

I loved Crisis Core because it has everything FF7 lacks. Great story, great characters, great character development... hell, they even make such shitty characters as Sephiroth, Cloud, and Tseng to be COOL for once.

  • Yeah. Every Cid in FF has the same last name. In FFIV, they even have a generic character refer to him as Mr. Highwind.

Yes. Crisis Core was amazing. The last few scenes especially, though I STILL don't like Aerith.

    -Raptor, out.

  • FF7 set a standard. The First FF game in 3D. Of COURSE it was blocky. If not for FF7, we wouldn't have FFX, which is one of the best games of all time.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd How is FFX one of the "best games of all time" when the main character was a whiny bitch, and the story stopped making sense halfway through? ("dream of a dream" my ass, I don't buy into that faggotry.) FF7 was MAYBE a 6/10 game. I'd place FFX around the same level of quality.

  • FFX was by far the best game of it's year. The story was again, convoluted, but it held onto it, and the gamer, until the end. FFX had stunning visuals, a thrilling story and great characterization. The secret behind Auron, and the way they pulled it off was amazing.

    -Raptor ,out.

  • @Raptorianxd Auron was indeed a badass, but one good character does not a good game make. Also-- best game of its year? Silent Hill 2, Devil May Cry 1, and Ikaruga would like a word.

inb4 you say FFX was superior to any of those. Knowing your taste in games now, this wouldn't surprise me in the least.

  • Stereotyping Much? XD.

DMC, Ikaruga and Silent Hill were great games, but I still enjoyed FFX more and still play it today. I haven't touched DMC since I finished it, but I blame that on it's sequels.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Really...? You're one of those people who claims their personal favorite game of a year is the BEST game of a year...? :/ Hell, God Hand was MY GOTY for 2006, but I wouldn't say it's THE GOTY 2006 because that would be pretentious of me.

  • No, I believe FFX was game of the year because it is a great game, and received the highest reviews, as well as most well received game for that year. I'm not THAT boastful.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Uhhh.... so was FF7, for its year, and I'm sorry, but I think you know deep down how trashy that game was, too. Paid reviews =/= credible.

  • I've already agreed that FF7 didn't live up to it's hype, but I also said I enjoyed it and that It was a fun game. It's no surprise that it got GOTY, simply because it was the first FF in 3D.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd ...with Sega CD graphics.

  • Agreed Again. Square was too cheap to do any better.

Since we seemed to have come to some understanding here, I would like to reccomend a game to you, that has received horrible reviews but I find quite enjoyable. It's called the Last Remnant, however I would reccomend the PC version and not the 360 version.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Not really a JRPG fan... might play it eventually, since it's by Tri-Ace, and I liked the first Valkyrie Profile game. (didn't care for its disappointing sequels, though)

  • AUGH! Thanks for reminding me. Those sequels were crammed full of fail.

    -Raptor, out.

  • @Raptorianxd Well...

At least we can agree on something, then. :/

  • I agree with you on Valkyrie Profile =) was a wonderful game, was disapointed with the second.

  • @YariMatthews Same... I was looking forward to the third, then found out that it would be a FUCKING SRPG WHAT THE FUCK.

  • Really 0_o? I didn't hear about a third one but that's kind of depressing. Glad my PS1 Copy of the first still works XD.

  • if it does come to the US it'd be the only DS game actually worth buying

  • It is only a collection of a bunch of minigames.

  • that's kinda gay,but also what's the point in playing the story when you already know you win forever?

  • and where did you hear this?

  • Chrono Trigger :D

  • @CutMan567 Ah yes. Chrono Trigger. That game will forever be heralded as a classic. Unlike this pop-culture 15-minute junk.

  • @m00nstrider You couldn't possibly be more wrong. For one, the DS has a great lineup of third-party exclusives that are worth every cent. If anything, this will be a forgettable anime-based game of poor quality, like every Naruto or DBZ game ever made.

  • Name ONE. Don't get me wrong, I love the DS, but most of the games are horrible. The Zelda games were TOO touch sensitive, Proffessor Layton was far too easy, and the new Pheonix Wright was just the same as all the others. Nothing great. The GBA in my opinion still far surpasses the DS.

    -Raptor , out.

  • @Raptorianxd Name one? I can name over 20.

Bangai-O Spirits, Big Bang Mini, Bomberman Land Touch 2,

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin,

Contra 4, Geometry Wars Galaxies, Hotel Dusk: Room 215,

Izuna, Izuna 2, Ketsui: Death Label,

Knights in the Nightmare, KORG DS-10 Synthesizer, Metal Slug 7,

Meteos, Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits, Nanostray 2,

Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Retro Game Challenge, Scribblenauts, Space Invaders Extreme 2

  • Most of those games were extremelly boring, and some had horrible graphics, like the game you are slamming. Case in point, Hotel Dusk Room 215. The plot was convoluted.

    -Raptor ,out.
