Isn't all modeling a bit of fantasy? You are correct that there aren't tracks that close to the Grand Canyon, but my layout is 'very tight for space' and the tracks just happen to be on the rim.

yes and no - I had a major derailment while filming other parts of the layout and that gave me the idea to try to 'create' a major derailment. I had to 'practice' it a few times but finally was able to get some fairly realistic looking footage
