  • so love this...

  • I wish I knew where home is. I just got back home from from what used to be home and neither really is home. I do love this song and wish there was a place like that for me.

  • Me too ... I have been working in S E Asia for so long ... love it ... but I wanna feel that cold wet snow ... and experince the seasons. Classic song.

  • love you carole...

  • I´d like to be home again... but I cannot... my life is trapped here...

  • @ViejoCabo i know the feeling

  • Her voice is so unique...You know it when you hear it! She and Janis Joplin were THE a couple of the most notable lady voices from the 60's/70's. Just beautiful. I remember the Tapestry album so well...listened to it in my early teens and it STILL sounds so great. Love you Miss Classy Carole!!!

  • sometimes i wonder if i'm never gonna make it home again.- It has been 33 long years; Steve is dead and so is Vicki ( the best friend I ever had) -I WANT TO GO HOME!

  • Beautiful song by a classy singer.. thanks for the post egaygigi and for my eastern friend for sending.. brightens my day :)

  • Dad's records - Tapestry!

    That's where it's at.

    Good sounding recording, thanks.

  • chills my soul right to the marrow.........sure does.

  • I sang this at my choir audition, and I got in...none of the other people auditioning knew this song, and they loved it. they thought it was an original song I wrote, but I told them about Carole King and they were hooked on that Tapestry album since then.

  • I played this song at my first piano recital, rather badly, but the hours of practice to play and perform it were worth every minute. I still play this song four of five times a week, and last year played "I feel the earth move" for my music professor, a little something different for his ears. I got to meet Carole King and talk to her for just a few minutes in New York year ago during her run in Blood Brothers. She was so warm and sincere just like her music.

  • Home is Where the Heart is for Carol King, and Karen Carpenter

  • I'm 19 and i love Carole King.I remeber when i was six i used to sit and listen to this on tape,on my walkman!

  • Considering that Carole sold over 16 million copies of Tapestry..............I know she is well aware of the literally 16 million plus people whose lives have been touched by her music. Thank you, Carole!

  • Sometimes Home isn't a place....it's a state of mind.....

  • HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS.

  • carole king is the QUEEN!

  • this is my all time favorite.........listened to this for 30+ yrs.......love it

  • I absolutelylove this song. I really like Beautiful and So Far Away. After reading some of the comments on here I just want to say that doesn't matter how old you are. I am 18 years old and I like to listen to Kanye West, Akon, Justin Timberlake, and as you can see Celine Dion. However I love the classics like Elton John, Phil Colins, James Taylor, Whitney Housten, I can just keep going!

  • I agree with you age doesn't matter. I am 45 but I love listening even to the music of the 50's.. I love it

  • totally agree... I'm 23, and love music from 70s & 80.. still i listen to all that is made today. but i think the best music HAS been made!

  • @Celinefan4life05

I can remember first listening to the Tapestry (LP) in 1971, I was only 19 then. Brings back so many memories of friends and people I cared for.

  • @Celinefan4life05 Good for you. I am 53 and grew up in the 70's. I look in the mirror, older and wiser. Guess it called life. I am in a good place in life, and am happy. Have found out for me, home is where my family is. Son in Fairbanks Ak, daughter right here. She is 14 and growing up. Hard to let her. Had her check at 17 by Janis Ian, thank you for posting....

  • Thanks for posting this. It's hard to find a lot of songs on here now with all the copyright claims

  • I'm 15, this gives me chills! one of carole's best.

  • Hey I'm 23 years old and i love Carole King!!!

  • Oh please, you poser. You love Lil Wayne and don't like REAL music.

  • I found - by chance only - her life story and I realized that she did 'Will you love me tomorrow' wtih gerry Goffin, her first husband. It is really sad to me that people who made this song didn't survived together.

  • Ahhhh brings me right back to the 70s

  • This song just gives me chills. I remember exactly where I was, who I was with and what we were talking about the first time I heard this in -- 1971?

  • that;s right

  • Very nice, indeed! I often pull out all the old great music and reflect on the old days...Carole King, Karen Carpenter--stuff like that.

Great ladies with great music using great voices....gosh, I miss the day.....

  • This is my favorite Carole King song. Home sometimes isn't a physical place, it can be just a place in your heart that you're trying to get to....

  • She has an AMAZING voice:)

  • I think it's great that people still look for this song and appreciate it.

  • ....the suziestew

    a long way from home....

and, I won't be happy until I'm home again and feeling right...somehow,

I know that time will never be....and, so I remain

    alone...

snow is cold and wet...and chills me thur to the marrow...

alone, I want to be home again and feeling right...

    hummmm ...xxx

  • @royhaworth Definatly, it's shockingly underated

  • i have all the respect for her and for the song. How could she understand another one who have the same feelings? It's the observation of the artist
