That is a tough question. I know this guy who does landscaping, and he's one of the best around. He says there's all kinds of formulas and techniques, but the golden rule is that it isn't done until you step back, look at what you've done, and it just hits you in the chest. I think creating anything is that way. You just have to be patient enough to get it there, and when it's there, deep down you know.

That's my 2 cents anyway.

As I listened, I pictured the everyday, the status quo, the safe and serene but with a dark underlying element. Then around 1:27 it took on a yearning quality and took a new direction, as if it was giving birth to new life.

Next came the struggles of overcoming obstacles and finally a new dawn with the vision of the many changes ahead.

It gets better every time you hear it. ^^ I loved it.
