@shikahkah I believe any STI with the DCCD function has AYC. With the DCCD you can lock the electronics so that the torque doesn't get transferred, but in default settings the AYC is active.

they forgot to mention price along with the cars...the cheepest is the wrx, then the evo then the bmw. the alfa, who cares. the wrx's cheepest is 26k, the evo is 32 k and the bmw is 50kish...if you dont know what to do with your money the top spec evo 40k ish or the bmw is the way to go. but if your looking for fun and cheeper the wrx or the cheepest evo is the way to go. plus the two rally cars hold up on the return...i cant find a evo for less then 20k, D*mned my luck

I have seen 9 year old evo's still 25k even if it has a rise of over 50k miles. but its really on the style of car you want, evo's are geeky as he said. wrx's less so. but i actually dont care about resell, i drive my cars to death. I love cars that love back winding roads and it seems that the evo is the best way to go. but the wrx isn't to far behind. and bmw, its a highway car.

Also if you open the bonnet on a alfa V6 it has no engine cover like ALL other cars these days. Instead you are greated with a chromed cylinder head with alfa romeo on it in red.

good for you my dad owned 2, 22b uk spec ones witch are better than jap ones .16 ever made of uk spec ones , and ye sorry they did have 350 bhp your right . but the uk spec ones had longer gear ratio.

@ldubdaman Also neglected to mention that when this was made you couldn't even buy a 22b as they were all sold (I believe) before the first one even rolled off the production line. So if you wanted a Jap rocket, you'd have to go the Evo anyway.

Man I hate the location of the red light on the Evo VI. It looks so out of place!!
Does anybody know why the f*ck do the JDM kiddies graft these lights in the bumpers of their Mazda 323s, Toyota Corollas and Honda Civics? I've only seen those lights on U.K. models, not JDM models.
Give me a website that proves me that that is JDM, not UK-spec!

@deepmelody1991 That's a foglight, it's supposed to be seen through weather even when the taillights can no longer be seen. That or its a turbo light, an accessory that lights up whenever your boosting more than 10 psi..its for show

@mack1381, exactly! By British law cars imported are supposed to be equipped with them. But it still doesn't explain why posers that are into JDM add that stupid U.K.-spec light since basically none J-spec cars with a cult following (R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R has something similar, yet factory integrated, by the license plate but I'm not sure why) ever came with it.

@deepmelody1991 Most jap cars for import has them..the R34 GT-R has them since Japan originally planned the car for export to the U.K so it has that light..similarly the current Impreza has the light, as well as the U.K spec Ford Focus..as for the question why JDM enthusiasts has those lights, no idea on that..probably because it looks weird and JDM cars pretty much has some weird look to it at some extent..

They are yes but they are so pretty. Also they generally have somthing wrong with them so the one time everything works well and you have a great drive its somthing to treasure. Also that Alfa V6 is the sweetest sounding V6 i have ever heard. Like whinnying italian stallions.

Even if you dislike how they look on the outside, and i will admit they vary, you must concede the interiors are stunning? Also if you open the bonnet on a alfa V6 it has no engine cover like ALL other cars these days. Instead you are greated with a chromed cylinder head with alfa romeo on it in red.
Also the engine note is somthing to behold. Have you ever red lined a alfa V6? It sounds beautiful like a mini ferrari engine.

@srspower We rarely see Alfas in the U.S. so I can go on exterior perceptions only. It seems like a car that older generations are more in love with than anything else. I'm not some young kid with shiny gadgetry on his car either. I'm 25.

Its not an old person thing i'm only 31 you know! Its just there is more to cars than just how fast they are etc these cars have character, exclusivity and beauty. To sum it up look up 'alfa romeo 8c' and check the first link you get on youtube.
That car handles appalingly and isn't particularly fast for a supercar but it looks like car pornography and the engine also sounds that way. Its the epitome of what alfas are about.

@srspower Haha I guess we'll have to disagree on what constitutes beauty. To me, they are bug-eyed and boring with absolutely no personality. I'm not all about only speed and performance. There are plenty of unbelievably fast cars that I would never have because they are hideous. I guess it's just a difference of preferences. To me, Alfas are aesthetically boring and uninspired. . . and too prissy on top of it. No offense.

@srspower The show is Top Gear, and that's Jeremy Clarkson. He's British and the show airs on BBC. He, along with, Hammond and James, are obsessed with Alfas. But, their method of measuring cars is aesthetics PLUS performance, and I'm sorry but Alfas are jokes in the field of performance. The small loyal following that loves Alfas are not on par with the majority of people who look at them and think "boring" and see them drive/perform and are put to sleep. It's a common scenario on this show.
