  • If Mavers & Power had stayed together they could have been bigger than the Beatles.

  • Saw them last night at the Wizard Festival in New Deer, they were ace!!

  • been listening to a few white room performances from various bands - the sound technicians who worked on the programme were awesome!

  • Brilliant. Still.

  • John Entwhistles opinion of casts drummer was pretty good though to be fair

  • If you wanna act like Keith Moon then at least play like him.

  • All Change and Mother Nature Calls were only their good albums. Everything after that, possibly including this new album they're doing are shit.

  • @therealDanHeinlein I take you have never heard Magic Hour. That was a great album.. Beatroot was a bit dodgy though

  • love this ... great song..lyrics spot on, cant wait to see them in Liverpool, John Power has a fantastic voice ..

  • check our music out cheers:)

  • Brilliant this was my answer to the Bro's buying the roses and oasis albums ! They were quality Scouse bands are awesom cannae speak but they can sing like !

  • fab.....bit of keith moon at the back too

  • great to hear the lads are reforming this year does anyone have any info on tour dates.

  • The White Room was the best show!

  • brilliant. anyone got a vid of charlies angels on the white room. think it was this episode

  • One of the best live and studio bands of the 1990's. was fortunate to see them a good few times. Wish they'd reform or Jon Power would release some more solo tracks.

You tubes like a fucking time machine this takes me back to sitting watching the white room in my house or my mates drinking strongbow and trying to form our first band. When summers used to last forever! Take me back!

  • @richie9579 I bet you're a happy bunny now.. >=0)

Just Announced: Cast! Playing O2 Academy Liverpool on Monday 29th November!

  • @schwinglow Their playing 02 ABC in Glasgow got my tickets can't wait till November!

  • Met Jon in my local a couple of times , top bloke and always was friendly to people and not letting his head be in the clouds. Walk Away is my favourite track .

  • Is it OK to say Fuck and Cunt then? I always thought that you had to say FLICK and CLINT in capitals so that it only looked like fuck and cunt if you take your glasses off.

  • amazing band. brilliant live too!

  • I've only just recently discovered Cast. They never really made it big over here in the US. Great catchy songs, melodies, and beautiful harmonies. Rock & Roll!

  • they did a us tour i saw them in toronto where they had alot of fans. 10 bucks for a 1 1/2 hour show.

  • can see where The Enemy got some influence frome here. great tune.

  • Nailed it and looks like they're having a great time too

  • Amazing band. Saw them live a good few times. Mainly supporting oasis. Amazing songs. First band i was in used to cover half their songs too.

  • What a great! ......from México ;)

  • <--trying to learn Spanish.

Fue un flechazo cuando vi los videos de John Power despues de oir la musica de el. Que guapo.

  • Perfection. More than anything though, props to the backing vocals. First I've heard in ages that don't fall flat

  • I was at the taping of this show, wish I could spot myself at the front

  • At the time pipped oasis to my best band. Not aged as well.

  • THE DRUMMER RECKONS HE'S MOONIE....

  • He certainly does. Never came close though.

  • Love the drummers shirt too. Great musicians!

  • really great band

  • What a great band. The La's were'nt too bad either. Thanks for posting.

  • fuck me thats quility, what a fucking band love it man...............

  • Im so lonely

  • i wish that cast reformed and started playing gigs again!

  • Most under rated band of the 90,s. oasis called on them as support acts and they usually stole the show

  • scouse banddddddddddd

  • <-- in love

  • top tune

  • great band aprt frm the drummer he is a dick

  • What? Why is the drummer a dick?

  • cause he was useually too drunk too turn up for rehearsels or even play thats why the band split up

  • wow, amazing insight. Were you in the band?

  • He looks like Animal, the muppet drummer.

  • you screwec up saying shit m8

because you got on all the idiots goats

Cast are underestimated and its a bloody shame

  • SOUNDS LIKE THE WHO

  • great band

  • What a band saw them a few times live and they rocked big style

  • awesome song great band.

  • The name comes from the last line of the La's album 'The name is cast'

  • Was their name really inspired by J.R Hartley???? as Mark radcliffe states in the runout to the vid......anyone know the truth?

  • The name is from the containers on the docks that have cast written across them and still do to this day.

  • Apparently the drummers a fan of Keith Moon.

  • John Power - Legend! Cast - Pop perfection.

Theres a band called The Last Ones, who have this kind of pop sensibility, excellent tunes all round, they've been compared to cast aswell.

I think they are at myspace.comn/ thelastonesuk

  • Effortlessly cool ....All Change is, and always will be, one of my favourite albums.

  • welcome to england

  • ???

  • I can't take my eyes off of him......sighhhh

  • He is a cute little cupcake, ain't he?

  • excellent. best band of their time. has anyone got charlies angels on the white room from around the same time

  • john power boss-this guy on drums is a proper drummer..bit of keith moon there..mark radcliffe looked old even way back then..great stuff..!!

  • doesnt get ne beta than cast, fuk oasis

  • Cast should have enjoyed the succes that Oasis had in the early 90's....Oasis are fucking shit...hate 'em.

  • easy to scream abuse m8

  • what a brilliant sound and brilliant song.

  • It's mad watching this. God I miss those days!!!

The video looks like The Fast Show doing a piss take!! Ha ha

  • what a band!

    what a great song!

  • all drummers should be like that

  • Kiss his ass. If he got the 10,000 view that's nuff respect.

  • Fuck off you silly cunt.

  • the white room was a live music show in britain m8 pmsl

  • I watched them in Manchester and Liverpool back in the mid to late 90's. Still ranks as one of the best gigs I have been to. Brilliant.

  • too damn right the music aint like it was then...or is it coz we're all nearly 30 that lived those days? Na it was better then than it is now..good point not many bands left rockin from then..supergrass and the Manics my two faves! Where did dodgy go? OCScene, bluetones, stereophonics! Who killed em all off?

  • but when this was around, there were people saying "oh no, the Smiths and Roses were better in our day....this is not as good".

Maybe it's because we all really love the music we grew up with?

Still, I do like this song!

  • i saw a poster for a dodgy gig at darlington about 4 months ago. im at uni now in leeds and OCS are playing soon so am gunna have a look and see them...they're all still around you've jst got to look for 'em haha

  • I saw them at Northampton Roadmender in 1995, would have been a great gig had the acoustics in that venue not been absolute shite!

  • This is Music!!!I´m from Brazil, love this band, even though its hard to find their records and stuff, even in the internet...

  • adorant

    Are you made up?

  • I was there right at the front by the stage, it rocked!!!!!

  • Bet it was a day to remember!, when I seen Feeder at the Album Chart Show in 2006, they had to play two of their three songs twice, due to technical issues, so we got to see them on stage for longer than planned! :D. Did that happen when you seen Cast on this TV show? :D :D :D.

  • Bring back Cast, who's with me??? Proper band

  • Ditto...All Change was a fantastic album.

  • What a band they were, love the debut album all change. Mr Power gather the lads and get back together!!!

  • This band were always tighter than a virgin's chuff. Come on Jonny, when are you gonna reform....?

  • Why don't people make music this good anymore ?

  • There's very little bands left from the mid 90's now, only Feeder, Stereophonics, Puressence, Portishead and Oasis spring to mind.

These days it's a Libertines clone once every week, while the talented bands like the ones listed above get ignored in favour of them, with the exception of Oasis.

  • and Radiohead... of course. Massive Attack and the prodigy are still kicking around somewhere...

  • What about adding Blur to that list now that their back together...Madferit

  • they dont make music like they used tooo, music nowerdays is all this shite about money and cars , what eva happind to rock n roll,

get teh guitar out and re live the old days .

  • Thats as good an introduction anyone could hope for.

  • You've never heard I wanna be adored by the Roses, Columbia by Oasis, or Gimme Shelter by the Stones, then, I take it?!

  • err wigan

  • Think i got the 10,000th view !

  • get a life

  • you're the one replying to him!!

  • good memories good days!!

  • liverpool n the nwest dominated the 90's

  • AHEM!!!! I love going to Liverpool and its produced some fookin ace bands over the years but MANCHESTER dominated the world in the 90's...guess where I'm from!! :-)

  • brings back very old memories from when I was 19...

  • Great performance from the lads !!

  • Simply awesome. Not enough Cast material on here but this was fantastic.

  • fucking fantastic

  • Has anyone got "Flying"??

  • Good point celt... but you need the shit just to make the good that much better.... This country has produced the best and worst music, and that cunt Cowell, who is to music what cats diorreah is to art...

  • Why do great bands like this pack up and leave us to the mercy of cunts like Simon Cowell and his 'discoveries' ?

  • scouse power !

  • Excellent band, had been looking for this video on the net since I couldn't find the VHS I recorded at the time.

  • try lookin guiding star is on

  • A revoluntionary band! Been looking for Cast up here for ages :_) thanks for posting.

Does anyone know if Cast - "Soul Tied" "Guiding Star" and "Dance Of The Stars" is up here anywhere on Youtube?

The search for Cast is very obscure for some reason!

  • casts classic walk away song is on me profile an that leads to the guiding star vid an many more :)

  • Good song. Reminds me of "Pinball Wizard" by The Who.

  • awsome band...would be good to hear a couple of acoustics from them tooo.....

John started as Bass guitarist for the LA's then progressed....went on to form Cast and is currently touring the UK with the John Power Band.

  • kool ill check em out, thnx
