I have this case and 2 GeForce 9800 GTX. I did not removed the HDD Case. I just removed the dark straps, installed two video cards and put back one strap and installed the hard disk. Fast & easy.
sure for the 9800gtx's, but those cards are nothing in size compared to the full length of a gx2, try adding two more inches to your cards and see if you can still do the same trick, I tried to do what you said before I removed the cage, there is no other way unfortunately.
Have no fear. The power connector for thie three gauges is simply the three pin fan connector. If you don't see it right away, don't get discouraged. remove the front pannel by unscreiwng screws These can be located on the far right side of the interior of the case. In between the tribal window and the drive bays. And on the oppisite side, the far left in between the other side pannel and the drive bays. Remove the fron and you should be able to figure out where your power connector is hiding.
unfortuantly I no llonger have the case, but you plugged a fan connector into the little plug instead of the motherbopard didn't you? ther eis no power comping from either plugs so of course you fan isn't working silly :)
I took one of those molex commectors that that have an additional fan header on them and used that to power the gauges. you can buy a cheap antech fan and keap the fan as a spare, then power the guage that way.
Those little round screws are in fact not screws, they are pop rivets. They can only be drilled out. If you want to remove your front fan and replace it with another fan be warned that you will have to mount you hard drive cage with small screws and nuts, not included of course :)
I have this case on order (should arrive today/tomorrow) at the moment. Just wondering what the standard LED lighting is like and how much extra you have put into it? I know I'm going to end up making a few small mods to it, nothing too extensive though. How is the case for airflow? Do the mesh panels mess it up, or do they help?
Let's hit these questions one at a time. This case has the three front panel led gauges and 1 80mm fan on the side with a blue led. Both of the 120mm fans in the front and back are non led. I added 4 blue led 120mm fans tot he case. 2 in the front, 1 in the back and 1 on top. I drilled three face plates with the protective removable plating. I had to remove the hard drive case on the bottom to install a new fan and the 9800gx2, but I have an icage to replace that.
continuing. I now have a water cooling system running through my case for my Q9550, but there isn't much room out there for one. Also I have a second 9800gx2 and had to get a second power supply for it. Not to mention, I am making a second water cooling system for the quad sli set up. As far as the air flow is concerned, I added a 250mm fan to replace the 80mm that came with the case. This takes up almost every bit of extra space on the side. Since I have the top exhausted with a 120mm
Thanks for the info man, case arrived that afternoon. In my case the three standard fans all came with blue LEDs, and like you I've had to remove the botton HD case to make room for the graphics card (9800GTX+). Add to that that the of remaining two HD bays only one is usable because of the main power supply to the motherboard its a lil annoying. Still, love the look.
depends on what you cpu you have and what you want to do with it. In this video I had a gigabit 650i. It ran my E6750 like butter, and overclocked pretty well to, 3.7GHz. But when I upgraded to the Q6600 in the video, it had a hard time overclocking beyond 3.2GHz. So I bought an EVGA 780i. This board is much larger, and I had some real difficulty fitting everything in. Be sure to put a medium sized motherboard into this case, there isn't a lot of room for anyhting else.
WHOA if you have a lotta wires tucked behind then take some shit out or get some zip ties don't just shove it back there because GOD DAMN all them vents don't do much if there is cables in the way
OK so you need at least 500 wats? well 550 is more so it shouold be fine. But what you should realize is that the wattage on a psu is actually the combined wattage for the rated 12v rails and other power out put. You should make sure that your power supply offeres enough ampage for your needs. If you have a lot of hard drives and optical drive, you may want to have a multi rail power supply to help distribute theload better. The last thing you want to do is get a psu that is under wattage.
To continue. If you need at least 500wats to run your, which I don't know what it is nor what you are running with it. make me a list of your specs. I will give you a small list of power supplies you can buy online that should meet your load.
OK, the fan should be the only one that has a power connector, and by this I mean You have all your front pannel LED connecter, the temp. gauge, the HDD led is part of the front pannel, but the fan is actually part of the power connector.
I hate frenchies, always getting the graphics cards two months before me!!! And I don't know why I would like to put my card on a diet. I have the 8 pin pci-e plug in now and it works
i have this case, its nice, but i might get a better one when i have the money

just a little confused, This case is just that a case, you will have to buy your own motherboard, is that what you're implying?

where did you get the blu ray drive.

From Cercuit City, the HD DVD part is a little useless now, but that's fine

You can definitely tell you're still a noob. Better clean up that wiring kid. ;)
Turn that fan in front around, it's blowing out the way you have it and you want it blowing in.
Not bad for a first build.

DO YOU KNOW WHERE IS THE CABLE OF THE FAN?
RayosdeOaxaca 3 years ago 2
OK, the fan should be the only one that has a power connector, and by this I mean You have all your front pannel LED connecter, the temp. gauge, the HDD led is part of the front pannel, but the fan is actually part of the power connector.
