Let me also say this: I am sick of traditional value groups like the MFC Minesota family council telling people that these children who committed suicide in the Anoka-Hennepin district did so because of the 'depraved lifestyle' they did it because of pressure to conform to what they were not and bullying--they needed help and information and they didn't get it. Any kind of harassment is wrong! It doesn't matter if you are pro or anti. People are sick of being told that they are the scum of society--are there better ways to deal with this? On one hand it is a good thing that the larger public is getting involved in LGBT rights campaigns. The downside to that is their methods. They're just like the opposition at times, which ends up like this.

And the Christians have been playing the victim-card for a while now. It's getting old. They are not the ones who need to change the mindset of a country, they are the majority. It is people in minorities who kill themselves because of the intolerance coming from the majority.

(by the way, don't say it isn't the "easy way out", because if you commit suicide, you obviously think that dying is easier/better than living.)

Thousands of staunch homosexuals have given up the lifestyle, some with help, to live happily. Homosexuals who choose to leave the lifestyle do so because it is plagued with disease and medical conditions that are unique to that lifestyle. Their life expectancy is much lower than heterosexuals. Depression is common and there's a higher rate of suicide death. These along with other reason are why they choose to leave, having a family of their own ect...no one forces them.

I don't see how a) removing religion from our government is corruption and b) why you insist that this government is a religious entity? I will give you some on the fact that our general laws (killing, stealing, ect) correspond, but that does not make us a religious entity. Why does the government mandate keeping the sabbath day holy or coveting our neighbors possessions? Reason being is that those a specific to only a handful of religions. We cannot hold one religion over another in the US.

As for being built on a christian value set, well those similar values also correspond with other religions. Jewish, muslim, and even Buddhism has similar values. There are many quotes by Ben Franklin saying how he was spiritually religious but also trying not to condone implementing religion into our government. I don't care about you having your own personal god/savior/overlord. You can believe in anything you want. You should have that right. But why should I live by that religion?

As for Homosexuality... Aside from any government or religious belief, Nature proves it wrong. If it were right, "parts" would have been designed and assigned a little differently. Sorry - there's no data to back up that claim. It's very easy to say "thousands" blah blah blah but it's simply not true. Here's the truth, and you can find data about this from CDC Morbidity and Mortality Report: as a group, people who have chosen the homosexual lifestyle, compared to their hetero counterparts, are more promiscuous, more depressed, have more STDs, die earlier, have higher levels of education, and make more money.
