  • salt is salt, too much of it isnt healthy for you, the source of it really doesnt matter, in the end its just sodium chloride. sea salt tastes better because its clumped up and doesnt contain additives in normal table salt which prevent clumping which is why its used but himalayn salt isnt healthier than normal salt

  • the only problem with it is sometimes if you cook on it too long, or got a lot of liquid dissolving the salt into your product it gets too salty, otherwise it's a neat way to cook

  • why not just use a pan?

  • Yeah eating a shit load of salt with your food is going to work out great for your health

  • @netscapepizza Cooking on a salt block is no different than adding salt to your food before or during a normal cooking process in a pan. You get a normal amount of salt from cooking on a salt block as you would by adding it normally. Might wanna read up on stuff before making stupid remarks.

  • @netscapepizza Who said it is a "shit load" and sea salt or himalayan salt isn't the same as table salt.

  • @netscapepizza Himalayan salt is healthy, sea salt is not ;)

  • Interesting...so how long can a 2" thick salt block be used. I assume it gets thinner and thinner with time and use.
