  • What is the difference between SEEGHEH & ARRANGED MARRIAGE in Islamic Republic? Both are for MONEY, One has a fixed term, the other does not. In SEEGHEH the terms are agreed to by the woman and her pimp (Mullah), in the other by the parents.

  • Enderandpeter, I'll do my best :) the song is sung from the viewpoint of the bride...I am peeking thru the door at my future husband and he is young, has a beard,he is big and tall, he's wearing a suit and I am to be his wife! he has not seen me yet..he was in love with another woman (showing the photo album) but they wouldn't give her to him..he sees me and the color drains from his face .he is so handsome but his face is like a stone. he hasnt raised his head all night.

  • continued.....how happy everyone is.. laughing and being joyous.you wouldnt know that until yesterday these people were arguing and fighting. now they say everything will be fixed when they have a baby. I am peeking thru the door...etc the woman peeking under the lace says congratulations/, G-D willing, may you be blessed...

    :)

  • Thank you, moxee33! I now have a better of idea of what exactly they are parodying. I have to admit that I find arranged marriages odd myself, but all marriages are odd, really. I think it's something you should do if you feel it signifies something, but having it forced upon you is terrible. Ultimately, I think everyone should be able to avoid or engage in marriage if they want. Societal shame can be dealt with if people are disappointed, as long as that shame isn't expressed violently.

  • eeee inke kahin khanoome

    kahin haghjoo

  • معامله گاو گوسفنده

  • Bad nist .

  • Domade shekle hazrate Abolfazee

  • eeee aros kojaa bid ????

  • khastegar does not necessarily mean someone who wants to ask for a stranger's hand in marriage. it could be your boyfriend. why is there so much confusion over this??

  • Khaastegaari to some means proposal ... however the root goes way back and in many places in Iran it's still the same thing when the family of bride and groom meet to give the final ok. Back in the day people didn't date!!! And even now, many Iranians still don't date and it's the family that brings the 2 together. Simple as that ... like it or not ... it is what it is.

  • Thank you doost95 you said exactly what I was thinking!

  • loooooooool

    year keep eating and drinking

    its for free!

    Ezdevaj hendooneh-e nabooreedeh hast ; )

  • For the people who don't speak Persian & make comments out of ignorance: KHASTEGARI means MARRIAGE PROPOSAL(like when you propose to your girl friend).

  • loool hahahahaha....that was hilarius guys

  • hahaha it's really funny!!!!!!!

baba shoma cheghadr jedi gereftin LOL

  • Khastegari is not "Arranged Marriage". No one is forced to marry the other person.

  • That's why the title says "arranged marriage" and NOT "forced marriage!". Of course it's arranged only when future "aroos" and/or her family agree with it. But in this it can still be called "arranged marriage" because "damad" doesn't even know "aroos" ;)

  • You are not getting it. Khastegari & arranged marriage do not have the same meaning, title's translation is incorrect.

  • Khastegari IS arranged marriage if you randomly choose someone to marry with without being in love or something!

  • so you never go khastegari for the girl you love? Khastegari is a ceremony to ask for the girl's hand from her parents, either arranged marriage or a marriage with love.

  • I said IF you just choose a girl randomly, which is still happening in some areas and families. OK, I didn't say you must not go khastegari for the girl you love! If that's what you have to do to marry the girl, then you definitely have to do it :P Yes, I think I will go khastegari too, because that's the only way to marry a Persian girl.

  • whoever gave me thumbs down doesn't have logical arguments, they just don't like what they hear . . . but iranians are good at doing what others tell them to do

  • He fajams23, why don't you shut your hole you dumb wit sh*T! I guess you must be happy with you arranged marriage. good for you! now shut the f**k up!

  • you've proved my point idiot.

  • There you go, I've taken the - point off! I agree with you that many Iranians ditch their traditions & follow anything that is Western as superior. The expresssion is 'Garb Zadeh' This phenomenon occured under the Shah, which drove the people to a theocratic government. I think people should discuss their point of view politely & in a civil manner. 'Khastegary' is not exactky an arranged marriage, as practised in the Indian sub-continent. Greetings & Regards to you all.

  • If somebody wants to ditch iranian culture and live like Westerners, thats their choice. But it is ignorant to insult iranian culture and tell lies about it. Khastegari is not arranged or forced. Its just not. If the "Abjeez" don't want to marry this ugly guy, they don't have to, but don't insult other iranians.

  • Tell us, really! Please enlighten us with all your wisdom. People all over the world can't wait for your righteous guidance through gates of sacred union of ARRANGED MARRIAGE! baaa baaa!

  • you're calling me a sheep, but you're the one who is so closed minded they can't make a sensible argument. You're obviously not iranian, you're ignorant of iranian culture, so if you don't have anything smart to say shut your stupid ass up, you little dumbass.

  • baaa baaa!

  • Maybe Iranians did khastegari because there are no nightclubs or starbucks in iran?

I'm sick of fake Iranians thinking that everything about Western culture is better, and are ready to dump their old culture for the new one without thinking. That IS closed minded. If you think that khastegari is "arranged marriage" OR "forced marriage" you are ignorant about Iranian culture, period. If they don't like khastegari, they can get married some other way, but don't INSULT millions of Iranians.

  • As if "Iranium" and "Fajams" are not the same person?! Khar khodeti. If you don't like the video ... go make your own lesbian videos. Why do you keep returning? 4 stars it is and your hole is burning hard. Keep coming back!

  • merc khaste nabashid

  • OH MY GOD KHEYLI FUUNNNY bood hahahahah

  • very good!

  • Reply to Iranium: Good for you, being such an open minded and not westernized person. To find out more horrible LIES about arranged marriage in Iran, Google the words arranged marriage or forced marriage in Iran. And if that doesn't work, you could always check it out with your own parents, unless they met online and got married on a love boat on their way to the Caribbean Islands:-)

  • meat each other? lol

  • meet .. I typed to fast and english is my 4th language.

  • If you google "arranged marriage in iran" you only get 2 hits and if you google "forced marriage in iran" you get 0 hits. So why don't you watch your stupid mouth when you insult people and act like you know everything.

  • LOL! You Google everything? just because Google "indexes" two links with "arranged marriage in iran" in it, you say there are no arranged marriages in Iran? Go find out more about your country man!!!

  • Dude ... grow up or just suck on a FARAHAVAR. The rest of us love Abjeez and their message about mornons like you.

  • dude at least I know my roots, u paint ur haid, suck on a american dick and film it, maybe u will earn some money in ur individualistic modern superior western open minded culture, and stay careless of Iran and ur nation as long as u drive ur BMW.

  • They are truly a head of their time!

  • clumsy!!!

  • It's Funky, professional and sounds soooo good! I am a Big Fan of Abjeez, you rock!!

  • relax--is 4 min of pure fun video--I seeee so many angery comments--go get laid--if off course these days you can find a girl that will talk to you loosers

  • VERY NICE

  • I had a great laugh! This is so cool! Who are these guys? Are they in Iran? Excellent videos.

  • I believe they're from Sweden :)

  • If the images of video seems unreal to you, it's probably because you are raised up to be an illusory person hiding your true identity behind shallow attitudes and lavishness. Please don't come tell me your parents and other relatives didn't get married this way! The problem with this video is that it's too accurate and reveals the reality of the Iranian culture. And we are basically not used to being so honest!

  • And to Abgees: When I see this from iraninas, shall I still expect from non-iranian to know more about my cultur before they call me arab? To much to expect perhaps!!

  • Look closely in the mirror and you'll see a fool. As if Arabs or any other are worth less than other humans. In that case Iranians are worth less than Greeks or Canadians! It's obvious you haven't traveled much. Take a peek in Lebanon, Syria or even war torn Israel and realize how retarded your image is reflecting. I have, better idea...go to Iran and travel there for a while. Education is what you lack.

  • shaftaloo(at least you had enough brain cells to pick the right name for yourself)the frase "calling me arab"got nothing to do with human values, it was not an insult to arab nation, just making a point toward a common mistake due to lack of knowlege. perhaps i need travell but you need much more than that to transfer from shaftaloo to a decent person who can express oppinions without insulting others.Democracy it is called, if you heard the name before.please get that. Thank you.

  • Omid: "express oppinions without insulting others" ... perhaps you should listen to your own advice and rethink about your own comments about these 2 Abjeez. The comment about "democracy"...that's real cute too, but who's holding you back? Much love.

  • Omid jan...Just realized you're totally lost pumpk'n! You defend Iranian "khaastegaari" by putting down Arab culture ... then mark homemade Arabic belly dance videos in your youtube favorites! Confused much? Need help? Can we call you a Arab doctor? There were 4 Nobel Prize winners from Egypt (Arabs) ... we can find a good doctor from there if you like.

  • It really hurts when I see such a inovative and brave girls as this two, which are trying to pass on a message with their music ( which musically sucks!) make such a stupid misstake. Khastegari is not an arranged marrige its a tradidional ceremony of boys parrents asking for her hand of her parents. In the modern time normally this is all initiated by the boy and the girl who known eachother and want to get married.

  • People still go to "khaastegaari?" Wow...time to evolve folks!

  • Yeah, like totally, time to evolve! Woohoo! We should be just like Westerners. They do everything better, even music!!

Maybe that is why there is a 60% divorce rate in Western countries, and so many children grow up not knowing their parents.

  • Khastegari does not mean Arranged marriage, at all. It means the ceremony in which the boy's family come to the gril's family to propose and ask her. In many cases, girls and boys have known and chose each other "freely" so it is totally different than an arranged marriage in which there is no choice.

  • Come on man, the WahWah is perfect!! What does Kastegari means?!! Love this band. PEACE!

  • i liek the wahwah

    but it is TOO much

  • I love the music, but the video makes no sense! Khastegari isn't arranged marriage!

  • how stupid khaastigaari is more like engagement its completely NOT forced

  • They sound even better in Concert "LIVE"! I LOVE ABJEEZ!! Proud Persians!!

  • It's not literal translation ... obviously! It's best way to explain the backwardness of "khaastegari." Khaastegari traditionally means getting married in order to get to know the partner. Permission to date by marriage at the request of family!!! Maybe "Forced Marriage" would make more sense for the geniuses here?!

  • and how the f would you say arranged marriage in persian , in 1 or 2 words?

what they did is the best way , btw nice video.

  • how does khastegaari mean "arranged marriage"?

  • I was going to ask the same question!

  • y do ppl make stuff up? are iranins leaving outside become ignorent as well...?

  • "are iranins leaving outside become ignorent"?!?!?! I think you answered it!

  • i am not sure what u mean, i just woke, plz explain

  • funny song! mer30 abjeez.
