hey in wich programm did you do this only in blnder?, how do you do this , can you help, can you send me a tutorial about this if you know one, thank you bye
@Zheph - neither do I - as I mentioned in an earlier reply to another poster. But because I only had a half hour to prove the approach could work I had to use Blender's internal lens flare. If I had the time I would have used the Knoll Light Works plugin in a compositing program.
@multimediahelp1 Thanks. I was never happy with the blender internal lens flares - but for the purpose of this test I needed to show the client we could do the work very quickly and cheaply.
For the shadows on garage... simple method - I didn't bother re-creating the entire structure - I knew I wouldn't need to - In blender I setup the ship scene - and behind it - in the approximate same space as garage I setup two plane surfaces - one vertical for wall - one angled for roof. Then I enabled "shadow only" in the material settings. This allowed the ships shadow to "interact" with the background plate - and no long involved re-modeling of real-life items...

It's great, except I don't like the lens flare.

How did you do the rotoscoping. Did the rptoscoping take less than half a hour? Have you got any links for tutorials and is it hard?
