Here is a question. Can HIV be transmitted through food? For example, what if someone making my sandwich gets blood on the bread and I eat it. Isn't the mouth a mucous membrane? I've done research but I'm still not sure whether HIV dies instantly on contact with air or whether it must dry first, the latter of which doesn't seem helpful at all.
