I checked out this video because one of my friends mentioned this as the only jam band he kind of likes. I just can't connect with this type of stuff at all, but different strokes...for your question on truly cool rock bands with a great look that don't suck - The Clash in 1979, The Stones in 1970, The Cure in 1981, The Strokes 2001, Stone Roses 1989, i could go on.
