weirdly, the new spirit line does not even have a transtrem option, they have the zt3 with it's weird body. But, not the exact guitar that put the thing in the view of probably millions of Eddie Van Halen fans.

the cheapest ones are the spirit ones. they're like 400 dollars. I tired one out recently and I love it!!! i'm buying the one I tired out next week. You have 2 options. Either single coil or humbucker on the neck. the single coil in the middle and the humbucker on the bridge are on both models.

this is like the good old days in video games and some cg, where the characters speak but their mouths can't move due to low polygon count. in fact, these steinbergers look like they got low polygon count too (small body, no headstock). but it looks awesome!

Dude, I have my dad's steinburger from 15 years ago. It is SO nice sounding cause it's all synthetic. Completely Graphite neck so it's not gonna crack in temperature changes. Makes it VERY durable and versatile.

Yes they are similar, but Steinberger double ball end strings were out WAY before the FR Speedloader! (Steinmberger basses came out in 80', guitars in 83') This was a alternative approach to the locking system. All Floyd Rose did was replace the ball ends with bullet ends. The Speedloader IS a cool design, but the CONCEPT was borrowed. U could even cut off the Speedloaders "faux-headstock" and the guitar would still function headless- like a Steinberger!
