@filipeflower When the sonic games were on sega genesis/megadrive sonic did not talk. I think they wanted to stay true to the sonic chronology for that. Dunno why classic tails speaks however.

to filipeflower: My guess is that Sonic has artificial vocal cords, and has to have them replaced every now and again, but he didn't get the first set untill roughly Sonic Adventure.
