If you're using those QSC amps, you need to get a processor with balanced outs (XLR) to avoid noise. Marantz AV7005 seems to be the least expensive pre/pro with XLR out.It has gotten excellent ratings. It has Hdmi 1.4 so you can get your 3d on from your Oppo.
The only thing 'bad' thing about pro amps in a home theater is that they were not designed for quite operation hence you'll have the fan noise but the power they have for the price can't be beat even compared with Emotiva gear.
Look at Emotiva stuff for good price and performance. I would buy any and all parts of the system from them. Pre/Pro, amps and speakers... even the interconnects are good quality. Forget Rotel amps and anything around $3000 for that matter and get an Emotiva amp. They make some really good options for HT. Oppo looks good though.
I'm in the same boat as this guy with some higher end gear rocking the Cerwin Vegas and I really like the setup. I'm not going for surround sound though, more just the good bass drops in dubstep and metal with quality equipment. Serves be very well...
Seems like you are throwing your money away. I'd drop the Cerwin Vegas and look into the New KEF Q series, preferably the Q900 towers Q600c center and Q800d rears. Check out the new Marantz separates, some of the best stuff on the market at an affordable price. I've listened to and owned alot of high end gear Rotel, definitive, paradigm and B&W. you want to start with a good set of speakers and a nice Marantz or Pioneer elite receiver and a decent sub and you'll be headed in the right direction!
You need to get rid of the cerwin vega idea and get a proper speaker setup for home theatre . Consider Bowers and Wilkins or Kef, Naim, Dynaudio. Also those power amps are not good enough. Try Myryad, Naim, Or even the Denon AvpA1HD and POA power amplifier. PA isn't what home cinema is about, there's delicacy and atmosphere to consider too. Also forget LCD if your into movies, Plasma is where the most cinematic experience is, Panasonic is a good choice. Or a nice projector.
I have Denon 4311 as an preamp to my Parasound Halo A 51. Oppo BDP-95. Bowers&Wilkins 5.2 system(683,685,HTM61 and 2x 10CM subs)Plasma is Panasonic TXP50VT20.Cables from Nordost. Love my system!
Try the Cary 12 for the processor an account Cary 7.250 for amp. Best combo with the opportunity 95.
