@harr77 Yeah, they should have been bigger, but corporate politics stopped them dead in their tracks. I remember when their second album "Pack Up The Cats" came out and I fell in love with that record. I thought they were gonna go places- at least until that Universal-PolyGram merger that came a few months later. That shake-up on a higher level basically killed that record off and they were dropped from Island Records by the time the merger was over. It's a shame because they were really good.

Do yourself a favor and pick up their first two albums- "As Good As Dead" (where you can find "Bound For The Floor" as well as "High Fiving MF"), as well as "Pack Up The Cats" (which is my personal favorite).

I adore grunge and even more specifically Local H. The grunge of the 90's really paved the way of much music heard today. Silverchair is another extraordinary grunge band; it isn't all about Nirvana which people tend to over glorify. Kurt Cobain wanted nothing to do with publicity hense the video they put out of In Bloom.

"Grunge" is a form of punk rock that became big from bands that where mainly settled in the north west of America. It is a form of punk in that it is considered "easy to play" normaly being 3-5 riffs repeated over the whole song. Nirvana played on a E based guitar (cant remember if it was flat or not) making it a pinch more easy for Kurt to play lefty on a right handed guitar......... Grunge bands of the 90's where called that based more on the look of the band then the sound.
