  • @storrs19 Do you have local chart information? Please contact me if you do.

  • Thanks for sharing this classic!

  • This did very well in Cincinnati, Ohio reaching #17 in April 1969. Great garage soul rocker for sure.

  • I heard this song one time in my life, but it made such an impression I never forgot it. I even remember that I was taking my youngest sister to Brownie Scouts and it came on as I was leaving. Shortly after I was reading and interview with Bob Dylan in Rolling Stone and he was asked if he had heard any song lately that had impressed him. He replied "I'm Alive" by Johnny Thunder--"Never have I heard a song that expressed its title more emphatically." ....Or words to that effect. Thanks!

  • Thanks for sharing ;) And that's a great idea, it should get played in my funeral lol

  • One of the best songs ever played, that I have heard!

It's the dogs bollocks & no mistake! I love the Garage feel of this track & the soulful voice of Johhny Thunder, Fucking Great Tune, Play it when I'm dead & I'll be dancing in my grave!

    Keep The Faith!

  • No freaking way!!! I was just listening to this song today on a 45s tape I have. Tommy James and the Shondells did a much less "screamy" version as the B-side of "Crystal Blue Persuasion".
