  • Im using an s-video hook up but on my tv all i see is my background and mouse moving, no icons or whatever screen that are up will show on my tv? Been messing w all the display settings but cant seem to get anything other then my background to show on my tv???

  • Go to amazon and buy a HDMI cord for like 4 bucks. Problem solved.

  • @matus2442 i want to get audio and video wirelessly . using a receiver for 5.1 surround sound hdmi cables are tacky

  • Why the Hell would you spend $30 on a VGA cable. Is it bundled with a $25 rebate. I would suggest NOT buying the name brand ie. Gigaware since this is a staple of the industry. Unless you need a rediculously long cable to connect to your LCD or Plasma TV (I suggest just get a wireless keyboard & Mouse setup). The cost for a VGA cable is between $3-5 and for your audio between $1-3. I am oblivious to where you are located but, even on the internet you can get better prices. Good video though.

  • but can i eat this?

  • can you use a dazzle please respond?

  • great man thx for this tutorial, I need an extra screen for work reason; about gaming, wouldn't my laptop's Graphic Card suffer when attempting to play on a 20' HD tv? my laptop can barely play at max setting on its own.

  • It looks great! But...can you really understand website's text from your sofa, without effort? I'm wondering about text resolution.

I ask that, because my main goal was to surf the internet using a HD TV.

    Cheers :)

  • @Dwhales4

use HDMI s-video produces a terrible image

  • @XXTheHacker Yea thats what i did. Got a sony hdmi cable and attached it to the dvi port using an adaptor. It works great now and crystal clear image.

  • Can you help me please? I have a video card that supports 1 monitor but i have 3 outputs at the back...vga,dvi and s-video. I managed to connect to lcd tv but my problem is to switch from the monitor to the tv. The tv is not in the same room of the pc so when it switches on the tv i have to scroll the mouse to press ok but i can't as i am not seeing the tv. I probably need a shortcut key but don't know which.

  • soooooooooooooooo wouldn't it be easier just to use an HDMI cable? it would be much cheaper than 30 $ and you don't have so many cables flying around

    very good video though!
