I'm such a novice. I can't work why, at 23:00, white can't just play Nxd8 to complete the fork. Jerry seemed to think it was obvious enough to not need comment, but I am at a loss.

I also would have gone into that ending. I thought the connected past pawns where enough to justify an opposite bishop ending. Have to check with computer if there was a win there for white.

I have a question about the insufficiant mating matieral. obviously in this positions the K+B vs K+B ending there is no way to force a win. however in a certain position there might be a mate-in-one for one of the sides (although very rare) would this circumstance automatically be counted as a draw by the computer?

Why doesn't white at 22:20 take the queen and look to the fork on e6 to the black rooks? If black's pawn takes the recaptures, the fork's valid...
