Not been warm and dry much this year through June / July horrible weather recently all those typhoons. However when the weather is great diving is pretty good. Its not sipadan but its as good if not better than KK diving. The best way to dive miri is Night diving, currently only Piasau divers (a BSAC club) go night diving - I'm leading a dive tomorrow. One time saw 3 leaf fish in my viewfinder at once!
All the dives are boat dives within Miri Reef 10-45 minutes by boat from Miri ferry. the best time to go diving in Miri is March through August, when the weather is dry and warm and water visibility is at its best.
