Excellent video. Nonsmokers get lung cancer too. It's time to stop stigmatizing and then beat this disease, the same way we are beating breast cancer.
I became good friends with patients as an EMT - really talked to them.
This is a common thread - they were all bothered with the question of what they did to cause/deserve their condition.
It's a byproduct of our judgemental, vindictive society. Guilt. Blame. If there's an all powerful God, I MUST have done something to deserve this.
I agree we shouldn't look back, but I propose that we don't look forward either. We should live in the present. Everything else is a memory or a dream.
Thank you for this video. I have a brother-in-lung who has terminal lung cancer. He was diagnosed with it over seven years, believe it or not. His cancer is still there, but not growing or sprending which is good news. So, hopefully there is HOPE for him-he can survive the lung cancer. Only time will tell!
