X3,X6, and X8 are the best IMHO. The music and challenge are the best in the series and they had plenty of content to unlock. X6 black Zero fully upgraded with his blue saber is the sickest!!!

i think this game is all on opinion and while some say 4 and over suck i disagree i think 5 and 6 was some of the best as 5 is where the story truly ends and the series megaman zero starts up(BTW its fukin AMAZING) everything after 6 though really sucks donkey dick.

It's a shame this is where the series started falling, even this game had cool ideas for bosses but barely animated them. Then X7 the worst game came out, seriously this series needs to come back to the 2D way and stop playing around in 3D. At least the music in this game, as usual is awesome. My only problem with the video is that the sword in X's hand is actually bent here.

@Snotnarok Agreed. I look at it going downhill from X3. X 1-3 were awesome, then X4 blew, X 5 and X 6 rocked then X 7 killed it for me.

@sortedevaras I actually didn't like X3 at all, X4 I loved it was really well done, even if there were many gameplay mechanics that that were changed it was still visually beautiful and worked well. X5 was ...lazy but decent, X6 had so much reused stuff and the enemies were just irritating. X7 was abysmal.

I just love this game! Even it's have some stages where you need armor or parts to get over. All stages are possible play with original X, but if you want to get armor parts, get nightmare stages or save reploids at tricky places, there you need exatly armor or part, but I think players do know that.

I'd say it's good due to the fact it's challenging and it has some nice stages/bosses. It's either you hate it or love it type of game.

I can't make the comparison between the two games. The PS games are a generation ahead of the SNES games. X6 is much more evolved.

@Twigmaster11 x6 suffers from bad level design all over the place. Not to mention it's overly frustrating, which isn't fun.

Challenge is fun, being frustrated constantly is not.
